At the moment, both yes and no. The product on the field is worse. The Liberty loss was worse than any loss during the Shafer period. We have been competitive in one of our five games this year, and that was against teams who should be peers or inferior. Two teams we beat by a combined 67 points last year on the road, just spanked us at home. We have an anemic offense. No depth at QB. Few stalwart upperclassmen. Coach has no Plan B, and hasnt effectively implemented Plan A. Shafer was bad, but Dino is bad too. It's not mutually exclusive.
The program is stronger though from a facilities and resources standpoint. Joe Moorhead should really be able to hit the ground running in Spring 2023.
