Wildhack Presser 10 AM Monday

Pretty much all their skill guys on offense are back but if the OL is green it will make for the great case study. How do great players perform with an ok OL? We shall see.
I agree...but at least WF has something we don't have. Much to his credit, Clawson has established an identity on offense. After 6 years, I'm still confused what SU's is.

Yikes. Scary to think that our program has been at such a low level for so long that there are members of the fanbase that think this way. No wonder five losing seasons out of six is acceptable.
It's not a crazy desire though. In the past 20 years Pitt has made 15 bowls (including this year), had 3 losing, non-bowl seasons, and been ranked at some point in the season 12 times. Yeah, they haven't had a pinnacle season (this year could be it) but they've been consistently OK, and won 8+ games ten times.

The SU comparison is awful and depressing: 5 bowls, 14 losing non-bowl seasons, ranked twice, three seasons of 8+ wins.

That's actually pretty stunning to me. I did not know Pitt has carried that success the last 2 decades.

The expectations for our FB program continue to be low. Given our schedule next year, I can’t see us getting 5 wins next season. Think we will take a step further backwards. Lots of variables still, but we’d have to hit lightening in the portal.

Even shorter: Win more games, do it the right way and we need money from boosters/alum
My money will not a lot but in thousands range is going to academics next season.

Done.

Again it’s me personally but the money I waste on football isn’t happening next year. I will be back but not next year. Academics is more useful distribution next year. That is what John Wildhack has told me.

And people still wonder why recruits go to Pitt

They have a much better regional recruiting base than us, of course. At the same time, they're the second most-popular college football program in their own city, and the pro teams there are even more popular than both of them. They also play in a perpetually half-empty pro stadium. So it's not like they don't have structural challenges as well. But they find a way to be OK. We have really, really sucked, there's no getting around it.

No one should be surprised by these statements, this is precisely what the AD has to say if the choice is to retain Dino.

I think this decision speaks more about the Chancellor than JW. I think the school made the investment in Dino and probably went above and beyond they ever thought they would go. I suspect JW's hands were tied to some extent.

He keeps asking for money from boosters for recruiting, etc. They need money to maximize the investment they already stretched on. Just the reality of what i'm hearing
