Will Adrian Autry snap NCAA Tournament drought?

You can take a horse to water, but, you can’t make him drink. It is my feeling that Red has the ability to get the team to the tourney. That said everything has to fall right, team chemistry has to jell sooner than later, SU need to steal at least one in Vegas. They can’t play down to the level of their competition. The team has to buy in to D first. Cannot let one loss loose you the next game. When starters are having off games, make a change, that’s a change. If you blow out a shoe, change the shoe, not the entire wardrobe. Establish the interior, the go to deep ball, and lastly, pray for no serious injuries. Last years edition could have easily won 18,19 games for long stretches. That’s all I got. Out

I would say the dot com team is saying collectively that's a no.

I think Coach Red has had some friendly coverage to date as HC. That probably ends this season.
Was just writing the same. Nothing positive to spin from them. They lost alot of goodwill with their readers and the fanbase when last years team of misfits didn't show up and they had been writing puff pieces early on.

This year they're taking the opposite approach to save some face in case there's a new regime very soon.

I think the tourney is a coin flip right now (prob less now given the terrible play of our guards lately), but I think it's still fair to re-assess after these key games this year:

-Binghamton-->If we're in a rock fight most of the game might as well find a new sport
-Game 3 Vegas-->Playing another bubble team is a must win game.
-Clemson-->This is a must win game. ACC Home opener NYE. After we have 4 more cupcake games we have to be ready for the league.
-NC State--> End of Jan. If we're not competitive at least on the road against a team that will likely be an at large ACC bid then we won't be against Duke/Louisville/UNC/UVA/SMU in Feb and then there's no path to the tourney.

With our favorable schedule through Jan I think it's likely we will have racked up 15-17 wins through. Alot different than previous years and Momentum with this team could go a long way. Problem is it won't be good wins so we'll need to find 5-7 more wins in Feb-March and the schedule picks up in difficulty real fast.

Goes without saying that a loss to any one of the 300+ net cupcakes (there are 8 of them) at the dome should be fire-able offense. Might as well have Fran Brown coach or Melo coach from his seats.

JJ is my biggest worry, can he be like Duany, as a senior on the 2003 team. Be the leader and take a back seat to other players who have the ability to make this a very good team. He needs to be a me less player , and help all the newcomers to stay in the game.

I will vomit if this team gets into the field as a 10 seed and John does a happy dance.
