Will SU be favored over Louisville?

Here's the deal on the Cards. They've had some turmoil on offense as their OC was given his release by Charlie Strong this past week. He wasn't too fond of the playcalling and direction they going. They have a real young line - only the C (Benevides) was a starter last season. that unit hasn't been able to move the opposing defensive lines and have been prone to false starts. Thus they cannot run the ball. They will use domique brown to run a wildcat - he never passes. Starting QB Stein injured his shoulder and Bridgewater has taken over. He has a strong throwing arm, but has had trouble with timing/touch passes (think Perry Patterson). The WRs have talent but the line doesn't give them much chance to go down the field. Also their FG kicker has been erratic. Chichester is now a TE, not much of a blocking threat and he doesn't have the greatest hands (except against us).

The defense is very good up front and at LB, their secondary has been prone to give up the big play (FIU) game. They can be had on short crossing routes. Strong runs that unit and they will be very physical at the point of attack. You won't see them all out blitz because their ends are capable of generating pressure.

It could very well be a Rutgers style game. We have an edge with specials and hopefully the confidence gained this week will carry over to this week.

Good info - thanks for posting that.

I hope we get a pass rush. I think we could have 6 sacks in this game, atleast. With our speed in the LB core, we can sure do some damage.
