Wow!!!

Iona, a Catholic school with a good reputation, hired him despite all his transgressions. I was surprised at that so now I wouldn't be surprised if BC hired him.

Iona is not on par with BC in any respect.

Pitino at BC would actually get BC media attention from the Globe/EEI/Sports Hub but it would be to mock him.
BC isn’t going to hire him. They wouldn’t consider Bruce Pearl when he was coming off his first cheating scandal and his show cause expired.

the Boston media loved Pitino. He’s like trump in that he wouldbring oxygen to that program.

I don’t think the Jesuit factor will impact the morality of hiring Rick Pitino. They want to win and he would accomplish that quickly. School is spending a lot of money on a hoops practice facility and the boosters want to see this program do something in short order.

he didn’t go to Iona to finish his career. It’s a career/reputation weigh station.

to echo ALSAC they never should have gotten rid of Al Skinner. Guy was their Pasqualoni. He won but they got an inflated sense of their ceiling.

BC is a Jesuit school, and proud of it. I cannot see them hiring someone with Pitino's baggage.

As for Cooley, he did a great job at Fairfield (another Jesuit school) where he was loved by all. He would be a great fit for BC
Ed is a good coach and would be a great hire. I think they are going to try and get a bigger fish

I heard half of these fans left at halftime.

What if your measuring stick was NCAA Tournament Wins, or NCAA Tournament Appearances, or 20-Win Seasons (pick one, or pick ’em all) in the past 10 years?

(Unless you meant to convey that BC isn’t close to Iona’s league?)
