I gotta be honest, the claim that recruiting services are biased against SU recruits/commits, not so sure about that. Rivals has always, always had Calvin lower than other recruiting Web sites. This is nothing new. He's five stars via 247Sports and four stars everywhere else. He's in the top 30 per ESPN. Never was five stars at Rivals.

I'd pay the most attention to the two composites: I believe Calvin is No. 47/48 in the 247Sports Composite, and 5 stars and No. 28 overall via the Rivals Industry Ranking. Also 5 stars and No. 22 overall via 247Sports. He's awesome. Wouldn't get too hung up on the individual Rivals ranking...pretty sure he was never 5 stars via Rivals itself.

That's actually the industry-generated Rivals Industry Ranking, as opposed to what used to be the On3 Industry Ranking. When the two companies merged, Rivals took over the high school recruiting, with On3 doing college stuff...

Regardless, dropping 46 spots when there have been no games played in months is silly? Did he go to a camp and trip over his feet the whole time?

The composite on 247 has him dropping from 47 to 49 on 7/16/2025. So the math of him dropping 40+ spots on one of the services doesn’t sound correct. I’m guessing somebody is just mistakenly comparing different rankings from previous.

Got me. I don't know the inner workings of the new Rivals/On3. All I care about is that Calvin is 5 stars via 247Sports, 5 stars via the Rivals Industry Ranking, and in the top 30 nationally via multiple recruiting services.

Rivals didn’t even have us listed as offering. None of this surprises me anymore with that service. And collectively the services coverage of Calvin’s decision leading up to the day was a hodge podge of slanted straw grabbing.

But hey at least they pandered to their cash cow SEC and B1G fan sites. So they have that going for them.
