This cuse player had 8 catches for 120 yards and a TD as a junior. Kind of reminded me of him-

Plus he was a phenomenal gunner on punts
 
I look at it as an upperclassman who can definitely contribute on specials and if you catch lightning in a bottle at WR then even better.

But with our portal departures we definitely need help on specials so I’m on board. If he was moved to S at Mich St have to assume he’s fast and has some ability to tackle.

Only downside is I believe he only has 1 year of eligibility left.

Agreed. It’s a low risk high reward take, same with the Monmouth kid.

Yup.
Worst case with both - you get a ST's contributor, an experienced, physically mature dude for practices, and somebody who could crack the 2-deep, or at least push the other guys to do so.

Short of getting a 4* stud like Francois, these guys are better than any HS kid we could drum up at this late juncture.

And it's only for 1 year, so even if it doesn't pan out great, it's no biggie.
