Class of 2026 WR Nau'jour “Toosii” Grainger

His latest video about him at cuse posted 1 day again has 1.1 million views already. Thats a lot of program and brand exposure and he will bring a big fan base to watch the games on tv now. Don’t think he’s taking a scholarship either. This is a win win

Isn't it a rule now that anyone who participates on the team (up to the 105 limit) has to be on scholarship?

Maybe we can get a camera crew to document spring ball and put together a full documentary for YouTube or even the ACC Network. It would generate more revenue and bring more brand exposure, helping turn Syracuse football into a household name. Toosii is the key to all of this and his big fanbase.

Side note, ESPN basketball highlights viewership numbers on YouTube from Tuesday.

UNC vs Kentucky 144k
UConn vs Kansas 54k
Duke vs Florida 166k
Syracuse vs Tennessee 214k

Kiyan Anthony I'm sure helps here. Likely not off the high from the win on Tuesday lol, but I just feel very optimistic about the current and the next decade of Syracuse athletics.

Hell, he could likely get paid just in his portion of his jersey sales.

I really don't understand the people who have a major problem with this. I could go through a list of 15-20 scholarship players that did exactly nothing this year and most would have forgotten they were even on the team. This is a Syracuse native with a huge music career/following that obviously opens doors revenue-wise for us. It's not like we are coming in promising him a starting spot. He likely will never touch the field, but could be a really cool story and a way to generate publicity for the Syracuse brand. Im just not sure why people can manufacture anger when this guy is one of 85. I dont see a lot of downside.
Look I'm 79 and been following Since Jim in 1955. To me getting someone like this involved with the program is a win win situation. You will get young people involved in watching the sport. You also will generate interest in Syracuse as far as admissions go.
I'm sure some advertising agent can come up with someway to make money with him on the team. A song could generate a lot of interest and money.

Two things:
1) Jim who?
2) I think you meant to say "Get off my lawn!!!"

This final quote by him kinda says it all, assuming this goes well.

“I understand the business side of things,” Grainger said during his podcast appearance. “The business side of things is, well, recruiting me you get a donor because I become an alum and when I become an alum, I’m an investor into the school. I got the money to invest now."

What could go wrong with having your own Luther Campbell actually on the team?
I’m not sure what the reference is here. Are you talking about the allegations that Campbell would pay Miami players for TDs and the like? That can all be handled differently under NIL now if we wanted.

You all really just need to go and listen to his music, this (and an earlier reference to Death Row Records, I think it was in this thread) comes off sounding very dated at best. Campbell hasn’t had a song chart in almost 25 years lol.

I’m not a music expert by any means but Toosii is really a smooth operator. Since he announced I’ve been listening to his music daily and I love it. Great lyrics and vocals to go with his social media savvy. I’ve posted a couple times in this thread already because I’m hoping we can all embrace and promote this guy for celebrating our team and giving us a new way to be relevant to young people.
