Isn't it a rule now that anyone who participates on the team (up to the 105 limit) has to be on scholarship? His latest video about him at cuse posted 1 day again has 1.1 million views already. Thats a lot of program and brand exposure and he will bring a big fan base to watch the games on tv now. Don’t think he’s taking a scholarship either. This is a win win
Side note, ESPN basketball highlights viewership numbers on YouTube from Tuesday. His latest video about him at cuse posted 1 day again has 1.1 million views already. Hell, he could likely get paid just in his portion of his jersey sales. His latest video about him at cuse posted 1 day again has 1.1 million views already. Look I'm 79 and been following Since Jim in 1955. To me getting someone like this involved with the program is a win win situation. You will get young people involved in watching the sport. You also will generate interest in Syracuse as far as admissions go.I really don't understand the people who have a major problem with this. I could go through a list of 15-20 scholarship players that did exactly nothing this year and most would have forgotten they were even on the team. This is a Syracuse native with a huge music career/following that obviously opens doors revenue-wise for us. It's not like we are coming in promising him a starting spot. He likely will never touch the field, but could be a really cool story and a way to generate publicity for the Syracuse brand. Im just not sure why people can manufacture anger when this guy is one of 85. I dont see a lot of downside.
Two things:Look I'm 79 and been following Since Jim in 1955. To me getting someone like this involved with the program is a win win situation. You will get young people involved in watching the sport. You also will generate interest in Syracuse as far as admissions go.
I'm sure some advertising agent can come up with someway to make money with him on the team. A song could generate a lot of interest and money.
The Jim in 1955 would be Brown, and I'm all for him being on the team, we need good publicity, to increase our TV ratings. Two things:
1) Jim who?
2) I think you meant to say "Get off my lawn!!!"
So you’re saying he won’t make it through camp in August ?FWIW, I put the chance of this guy being on the team in September at 0.01%.
Shutang MungwaWho was the kid who left the team a couple years ago to pursue a career in rap?
Well, Toosii is the inverse of that guy.

I knew who you meant, I was just joking. The Jim in 1955 would be Brown, and I'm all for him being on the team, we need good publicity, to increase our TV ratings.
I don’t think he would sign since he’s a pwo and they don’t do that.Did he actually sign? Is he coming in January? I don't remember seeing this. Can't go back through 9 pages. I have a life.
Haha Yes Shutang “Clan” MungwaShutang Mungwa

I’m all for Jim Brown being on the team also, as long as it’s the 1955-1965 version. The Jim in 1955 would be Brown, and I'm all for him being on the team, we need good publicity, to increase our TV ratings.
If he was you every play hand it off or hit him with that swing pass Cleveland used for years to get him into open space.I’m all for Jim Brown being on the team also, as long as it’s the 1955-1965 version.
Well I’d guess 7 years…He is 25 years old. When was the last time he played competitive football?
Back when he was a Onesie?Well I’d guess 7 years…
I’m not sure what the reference is here. Are you talking about the allegations that Campbell would pay Miami players for TDs and the like? That can all be handled differently under NIL now if we wanted. What could go wrong with having your own Luther Campbell actually on the team?
