I think that Avant and Lewis will do well. I also like Custis and Eoincy as they can get off the line and are a huge match up problem for both LB's and DB'sMy big questions:
* do we have any receivers on the roster other than Ish / Estime that are good fits in Babers's system?
* if not, what do we do to address this issue?

The almost total lack of PT for Custis and Eoincy - or at least an explanation of it - is one of the stranger things I've seen in recent SU football history.
I cannot see anything from Custis, Avant or Enoicy. 12 combined catches in 5 cumulative seasons (Enoicy did not even play last year) on team with little WR talent and depth does not inspire confidence in the three doing much. Cornelius? Same thing. 18 catches in 3 years despite being on the field a decent amount of time. There is nothing fact-wise to indicate any of these guys are going to break out.My big questions are as follows.
* How are Custis and Eoincy used
* Does Sean Avant have a break out year
* Can Corny live up to his spring and fall hype
* Which guys become the deep threat?
* Does Dunk have a spot?
Phat what role if any do you think that our two bigs can play. I can see Custis and Eoincy getting separation off the line and being a great match up for us on 20 yard and under routes. They sure as heck are not going to be held up at the line by most DB's. We only seemed to run Custis in the redzone and always towards the corner. I would have used him over the middle. Thoughts?I watched 4 or 5 Bowling Green games this year. Lots of short quick passes. WR screens and slants. Then they go over the top. Scheme gets guys open. Our WR’s were running behind coverage a number of times this season but we don’t deliver the football. Syracuse WR’s are more than capable of running the primary BG offense, which also requires smarts and the ability to block.
We obviously lack a true deep threat but that isn’t a guy who just out runs everybody, it’s a physically imposing guy who can outrun everybody. BG’s star wideout is a kid who was a 5 star WR headed to play for Ohio State before some legal trouble sent him to Bowling Green.
Our current TE's can't catch, and that is part of the offense, so Custis and Enoicy, plus Trey should help with that.Phat what role if any do you think that our two bigs can play. Any JUCO or freshman not signed yet have a great chance to walk in, start and play a lot.

Not that big a part of the offense. Bowling Green TEs only accounted for 27 catches for 211 yards and 5 Tds last season. Our current TE's can't catch, and that is part of the offense, so Custis and Enoicy, plus Trey should help with that.
I've been wondering if Enoicy was suffering from an unreported injury last season. As a RS scout team player, the staff raved about him.Phat what role if any do you think that our two bigs can play. I've seen no response to why a specialist is not being used. Obviously I have no idea if it is a relevant issue here.I've been wondering if Enoicy was suffering from an unreported injury last season. As a RS . . . . . team player, the staff raved about him.
Did our under-qualified General Practice MD strike again?

Lets hope these kids get some coaching and have a chance to see the field as i think they are a very hard match up

Why more people don't think that is beyond me. Maybe they think Shafer and Lester wanted to get fired, so they were not playing their best players.I'm starting to think they just aren't good enough
Strong odds that's true. But still hoping.I'm starting to think they just aren't good enough
