Acevedo, 23, is moving up to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after a dominant five-start stretch with Double-A Trenton in which he went 2-0 with a 1.62 ERA, a 0.81 WHIP and a 31-to-3 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 33 1/3 innings. In his most recent turn, the 6-foot-7 right-hander completed a season-high eight innings, allowing one earned run on four hits and one walk while striking out five.

• Making his Double-A debut,
Yankees No. 20 prospect Zack Littell recorded a season-high 10 strikeouts while allowing one unearned run on two hits and three walks in seven innings. The 21-year-old righty was dominant during his time with Class A Advanced Tampa before the promotion, going 8-1 with a 1.76 ERA in 12 outings (10 starts). He owns a 0.66 ERA in 41 innings over his last six starts between the two levels.

Justus Sheffield (No. 31 overall, 2014 by Indians) bounced back from arguably his worst outing of 2017 to record a season-high eight strikeouts over six innings in a victory for Double-A Trenton. The
Yankees' No. 6 prospect allowed one earned run on five hits and two walks in the outing. Through 12 starts in his first full Double-A campaign, Sheffield, 21, owns a 3.29 ERA with 61 strikeouts in 68 1/3 innings.
