I am selective in using the reverse jinx. You picking North Carolina on Saturday?
I don’t get much right and honestly I just wanted to get this thing back to Boston but there’s not a single stadium in baseball that’s going to intimidate this bunch. There was palpable nervous energy in Fenway last night and it was especially evident after Gonzalez went deep. It seems counterintuitive but there’s a chance going on the road isn’t the worst thing. They went into Yankee Stadium and took two and Houston’s home field advantage isn’t more intimidating than that. None of it matters if the middle of the lineup doesn’t get going though.
I wanted no part of Kimbrel but after tonight I think sometimes pitchers throwing with a little fatigue may not be the worst thing.
Price was on 3 days rest and literally had no expectations.
He threw paint all night.
Kimbrel outside of one hitter threw in the zone.
Both were gassed.
My hot take analysis now for the WS is Mookie Betts works at 2b from now till game 3 and he will play 2b and they bench Kinsler/Holt and put JD in RF.
This way the defense stays good in the OF.
Mookie is a natural 2b and he played there this year against the Yankees after Kinsler got hurt.
Yeah only for NL games. That's crazy hot.
I like the initiative here, but that weakens the OF. I'm guessing you are only planning this for the NL park games.

Tipping pitches has nothing to do with throwing the ball anywhere but the strike zone. I think the tipping pitches B.S. is just to make Kimbrel more confidant. Oh. I was tipping pitches. That is why I sucked. On MLB radio this am they said that the Red Sox learned that Kimbrel had been tipping his pitches over the last two weeks. Of course that doesn't completely explain his lack of command but maybe that was helpful last night and going forward.
Against the lefties you sit beni or JBJ. In a big ball park, I sit beni. And I hate it.But it is what it is thanks to stupid N.L. rules.JD in the OF hurts the OF and we just saw how important OF defense is. I'd let it stay as is.

Yes. I was just going to say that.Tipping pitches has nothing to do with throwing the ball anywhere but the strike zone. I think the tipping pitches B.S. is just to make Kimbrel more confidant. Oh. I was tipping pitches. That is why I sucked.
I was not talking about Fenway why would I want JD in OF in AL games? You're talking NL park games. I was responding to Alsacs who is recommending JD in RF at Fenway.

I am talking about no DH in NL parks.
Put Mookie at 2b and JD in RF.
I want JBJ in NL games if it’s a RHP.
In AL games we just start either Holt or Kinsler at 2b.
I am not messing with the D in AL games.
With no DH in NL games JD is playing and one of JBJ or Holt/Kinsler will sit.
If JBJ sits Mookie will play CF and Martinez in RF.
If Mookie played 2b then JBJ in CF and JD in RF.
I meant Mookie work at 2b in fielding drills because they have all this time off. Get him comfortable so that during games 3-5 he could be an option at 2b.
He played 2b during that game against the Yankees Porcello threw a 1 hitter.
Also, consider that this image must have been shot with an extremely long telephoto lens, which causes a compression effect. Like when it’s raining at the ballpark, and a long lens makes it look like a downpour because it brings all the raindrops from a hundred yards of depth into the same field. So, Mookie looks closer to the wall than he was, and even though his arm is tilted back, his body still has a way to go before contact with the wall.
This shot shows Mookie wasn’t over the line of the fence.
The guy in white was over the fence.
The ball would have been a HR but these fans interfered with Mookie .
