If Baker Mayfield didn’t go first the Patriots media is reporting Belichick and Gettleman discussed the Pats trading 2 first round picks, 2 second round picks and next year’s one for the 2nd pick.
The trade fell apart after Mayfield went first.
Apparently he was the top rated QB by New England.

I would’ve loved to watch Twommy & Baker attempt to co-exist.

Almost a real life Any Given Sunday - aging vet, Cap (Brady) pushed out by Steamin’ Willie Beamon (Mayfield).

Would Belichick pull a Coach D’amato and sign Mayfield on his way to his new team?!?

Lot of word leaking that the ‘smart’ personnel people called this a 2 person draft, if you know what I mean.

And the 2 were Mayfield and Barkley.

Gettleman said he had 1 legitimate offer and IMO...23, 31, 43, 63 and next years 1 would qualify.

Gettleman also said he didn’t want to get ‘too cute’ when he had this player...and I think he also said ‘the trade never materialized’.

That fits here.

We'll see. Why anybody would want to bet the ranch (as detailed in alsacs report on NE) on a six foot tall QB from the passing freak show that is the B12 is beyond me. Mayfield may be successful but it's not so assured that somebody should want to give up the kind of haul as rumored above.

That’s the part that’s already real life.

Twommy wants to play till 45 to reduce his chances of Giselle induced CTE from the repeated head slaps.

Edit - Lord knows the NFL doesn’t allow anybody to breathe on Twommycakes so he’s got no risk slingin it for a few more years.

When you guys hired McAdoo I questioned it. He was like hiring Shafer. You don't hire the house painter after the architect leaves.
No reason for him to rip Solder. Solder isn't consistent he runs very hot and very cold. When he is good he is a top 10 LT but when he is bad he is like Flowers and it affects him the entire game. I get why you guys went after him but he isn't worth what you guys paid. He is overpaid by 5 million per year.

The solder for jpp line was spot on.

And in that context...an upgrade.

Even if what u say is true.

He's an LT upgrade regardless.

Tomorrow I put a down payment on the free $$$ they giving out at the Meadowlands Sports Book.

Giants + 6.5 wins.
