From what I read on Twitter from the Oklahoma State fan base, they were fine letting him go and had someone already ready to come in and take the OC role. Is it true? Who know? But many seem to believe so.
Gleason had very little to do with that offense. He was at Oklahoma State for 1 year. So you can understand why the fans wouldn’t care much.
Gundy is the mastermind and Yurich ran it for 6 years prior to this year. Then Monken(2), then Holgorsen (1), Brewer(2), Fedora (3).
Gleasons only college coaching experience prior to this year was Princeton and Fairleigh Dickinson. Could be considered a bright young mind (I don’t know because I’d never heard of him until today) but he has very little experience and was at OkSt for one season. They finished 8-5 and scoring was down.
