Took a month and a half to replace Lewis. Hopefully he gets this one right.
I just hope whoever it is, is a heck of a recruiter. We need more than swag daddy on the trail

Not 100% sure if I posted this before WRT "thinking outside the box". "Sometimes the box is there for a reason.""There's a fine line between genius and insanity".
And sometimes the "box" is a padded cell. Not 100% sure if I posted this before WRT "thinking outside the box". "Sometimes the box is there for a reason."
Can’t figure out how to do it from an iPhone, but when I do, it’s a different game.Yes, we do.
It’s just that some posts (or some posters) need to use the proper font.
Why is this a conference based argument? I am honestly not understanding this side of it.Rutgers was already recruiting similar players to us.
They have 3 superpowers to deal with and we have 2 and one of them is down.
Our schedule is only 8 conference games theirs is 9.
Schiano isn’t going to turn them around. He will be lucky to get to consistent 6-6 level and that will take 4-5 years which I doubt he will get it.
This isn’t going to be Edsall 2.0 but Schiano 2.0 doesn’t scare us.
He made Rutgers mediocre to above average after Miami/Virginia Tech/Boston College left the Big East.
He is dumb in-game coach.
They will go 3-9 the next 2 years. We just need to beat them twice.
We are lucky we are playing them on the road in his year 1. That roster won’t be his players.
It’s not too hard. Can’t figure out how to do it from an iPhone, but when I do, it’s a different game.
Not working on my 8. No worries. Thanks for the tip. It’s not too hard.
The key is to turn your phone.
This was posted from my iPhone, though I prefer to use my iPad.

I was thinking about that recently. Last year would have been the year Dino would have historically jumped to a bigger job and the pattern continued when he stayed. He's clearly good at getting a team together with other people's players and overachieving. As you said he needs to demonstrate he can build a program. This is uncharted territory for Dino. He has been a turnaround expert vs a program builder. In my company we have a management team thats primary focus is to stabilize a company or division that is struggling. They do not run the company long term as the skill sets required are different.
Rivera is going to take everyone he can with him...hopefully some players too.Washington Redskins: Panthers linebackers coach Steve Russ is joining the Redskins staff in the same capacity, Adam Schefter tweets.
Dino might not be able to build a program. It wouldn't surprise me as he has never done it. Nor has he ever recruited a great QB. Jimmy which is his claim to fame was inherited as was Eric. Tommy is his and hopefully he pans out. Dino needs to surround himself with as strong a DC as possible and if he retains Lynch take over or at a minimum get seriously involved in play calling. Lustig and Swag are solid the rest...I was thinking about that recently. 2013 - E. Illinois finishes 12-2 and Dino jumps to Bowling Green. 2014 E. Illinois finishes 5-7
2015 - Bowling Green finishes 10-4, wins the MAC and Dino jumps to Syracuse. 2016 Bowling Green finishes 4-8
2018 - Syracuse finishes 10-3 and Dino stays. 2019 Syracuse finishes 5-7

Steve Russ coached at Syracuse from 2005-2007. He was our DC in 2007. Good guy, glad to see him doing well.Washington Redskins: Panthers linebackers coach Steve Russ is joining the Redskins staff in the same capacity, Adam Schefter tweets.

The point is simple. To date he has won with the vast majority of his players having been recruited by the previous coaching staff. Fact. This year was the first year as a head coach that a significant amount of the 2 deep were his recruits. Fact.
Not: ED Strick Custis Slayton Hof Cody...2018 was 90% his guys

Well the BG coach who followed him Mike Jinks, lasted 3 seasons and went 7-24. So...After Dino left ELU and Bowling Green how did his recruits do for the next coach? Not asking to say you're wrong or right but didn't both of those teams struggle after Dino left with 2 years of his guys? Granted new staff but Dino when he went there also was a new staff and won.
