2020 MLB Season...

Red Sox ownership is throwing out the first pitch.
Red Sox players are the catcher.
Red Sox fans are the camera guy taking the picture.

Cheaters justice for 2018.

Enjoy 4 days in October on ESPN right now.

Biggest choke job and Greatest comeback in baseball history.
Lol I love the fact watching 4 days in October how Trump skunked the Yankees before game 7.
Saying the Yankees are the Yankees and George is a winner.
Totally jinxed them.

Didn‘t think the Dodgers needed another bat. Mookie is the second best player in baseball. Might be time to put in a wager on NL MVP at +750.

Is he a Yankee fan or Mets fan? Speaking of jynxs he was behind the plate when Beltran struck out in game 7 of 06.

What is it with espns obsession with yankees/sox? It's bad enough it's the Sunday night game. They need to put it on ESPN and ESPN 2?

I definitely prefer the more analytics-focused broadcast on ESPN2. Hopefully, they will all be like that soon.

The ESPN2 broadcast they did for the playoff game last year. It’s for analytical geeks.

Baseball is a regional game. Red Sox-Yankees, Dodgers-Giants, Cardinals-Cubs, and anyone throwing at-Houston are the only type of games that can get any decent national ratings when both teams are good.

Red Sox suck so ESPN is stuck with them for this year but the national TV partners will always want the Sox-Yanks on primetime.

Baseball needs to find a way to market its stars.

No one who isn’t a Yankee or Red Sox fan cares about their games. Yet I’m constantly presented it as a transcendent rivalry.
Its not 2004 anymore the red sox are rebuilding. These games aren't interesting anymore.

Red Sox-Yankees playoff ratings are the highest rated games ever on TBS and destroyed the NL ratings on the same station which included the Cubs and Dodgers.

The Sox suck but Red Sox-Yankees when the Sox don’t suck draws eyeballs.

Which Met or Mets are going to be pitching in relief next weekend ? BTW, Judge is going to be back next Saturday.
Who cares? The Mets blow. Go beat a good team in the playoffs and then you can run your mouth.

How many of those eyeballs aren’t Sox or Yankee fans? They both have a massive following. I get that it makes ratings sense. But the idea that the average baseball fan cares about either is a myth.

About what game do you think the average baseball fan would care more?

When I think Yankees - Red Sox, I think of Pedro, Big Papi, Manny, Jeter, Torre, Zimmer, etc. These were big names and stars that we “knew”. We even knew the coaches.

We don’t “know” these guys now.

It’s because you’re not paying attention.

I am. I’m watching the game right now.

I know who their main players are - but I don’t know anything about them beyond their numbers. None of these guys are national stars the way baseball stars used to be. There’s no marketing.
