Question is if you ban those teams, do their opponents get a forfeit win or are the games just wiped from the schedule and you go by win percentage? If one team plays 50 games and finishes two games back of a team that played 60, that’s going to be a real headache for MLB. Not sure there’s an answer that will satisfy all parties involved.

You just re-do the schedule, play as many as you can.

In the end, a bunch of teams will get into the expanded playoffs anyway.

If they make it through the whole season and only two teams had breakouts, and no one was significantly sick (haven't heard of anyone yet on those 2 teams), it will be a victory no matter what.
