Interesting to see of we go to Chapman here
I miss the days when Rivera would come in, shatter a couple bats, strike out a few guys, and I could put my head on the pillow and go off happily to dreamland. Not convincing, but he still got it done. Which has to be something positive to a guy who needed it.
Baltimore found their bats the last three games (31 runs, but against the Angels). Let's hope they keep it going against the Rays!Rays off, at BAL this weekend
Sox win, at CLE this weekend
Mariners lose, vs KC this weekend
I think I saw that movie. Wasn't that Warren Oates' big break?
Judge might have an edge on Johnny, but Lasagna sure has been special. I guess either guy would be hard to argue againstJohnny Lasagna has to be team MVP so far, right?
Cole: 4.3 WAR (fangraphs)Judge might have an edge on Johnny, but Lasagna sure has been special. I guess either guy would be hard to argue against
Cole: 4.3 WAR (fangraphs)
Judge: 4.1 WAR
Montgomery: 2.7 WAR
Loaisiga: 2.4 WAR
WAR is one way of looking at it, but if the Yanks are only 12-10 in Cole’s starts how much more valuable is he than say Judge?Cole: 4.3 WAR (fangraphs)
Judge: 4.1 WAR
Montgomery: 2.7 WAR
Loaisiga: 2.4 WAR
It’s literally a measurement of how valuable one player is compared to others.WAR is one way of looking at it
They need a way to calculate that for ManagersIt’s literally a measurement of how valuable one player is compared to others.
If you answer the question which player would you keep if you were forced to drop one it shows you how easy this answer is. Easiest answer ever. 4.3WAR is one way of looking at it, but if the Yanks are only 12-10 in Cole’s starts how much more valuable is he than say Judge?
I’m not sure those are correct numbers, but I heard a stat that said Yanks were somewhere near .500 in his starts.
That's exactly what it is.I’m a big Montgomery fan, but sometimes (like right now) I think WAR is a made up stat where someone just plugs numbers for fun.
