Kinda funny that the two biggest offseason moves for the Lakers (so far) are assistant coach hires. Now, bring back Phil Handy & hire Rajon.

Answer: Who are two more guys LBJ won’t listen to?Now, bring back Phil Handy & hire Rajon.
Hate to defend it too much because he wasn't really a draftable prospect, but Milwaukee basically gave the same contract to Rich Paul client Chris Livingston last year after Paul made sure he slid to us with the final pick in the draft.Bronny's contract is way more insulting than his getting drafted.
Yeah I understand that, but the Wong kid from Miami was the 55th pick last year to the Pacers. Bronny's contract is 14 times larger.Hate to defend it too much because he wasn't really a draftable prospect, but Milwaukee basically gave the same contract to Rich Paul client Chris Livingston last year after Paul made sure he slid to us with the final pick in the draft.
Maybe he had the Wong agent.Yeah I understand that, but the Wong kid from Miami was the 55th pick last year to the Pacers. Bronny's contract is 14 times larger.
It's tough being a Jazz fan. But it was good seeing some other guys playing well last year like Collin S e ton and Keyonte George. Kris Dunn also, but they let him go. If Markkanen ends up on Minnesota, that's the team that a lot of Jazz fans root for.J-L — a decades-long Jazz fan — is mad as hell & he’s not gonna take this anymore.
You forgot the bubble.
On what planet?
Yeah, but Livingston was the 58th pick last year and got the same deal as Bronny. Toumani Camara (#52) and Trayce Jackson-Davis (#57) did too.Yeah I understand that, but the Wong kid from Miami was the 55th pick last year to the Pacers. Bronny's contract is 14 times larger.
He got 4 years?Yeah, but Livingston was the 58th pick last year and got the same deal as Bronny. Toumani Camara (#52) and Trayce Jackson-Davis (#57) did too.
All three of those guys did. Bronny, Jackson-Davis, and Livingston all got two years guaranteed with a team option on the 4th year. Camara got one year guaranteed and a team option on the 4th year.He got 4 years?
Bronny has four years guaranteed I thought? All three of those guys did. Bronny, Jackson-Davis, and Livingston all got two years guaranteed with a team option on the 4th year. Camara got one year guaranteed and a team option on the 4th year.
Nope, just the first two and then a partial guarantee on the 3rd I believe so the Lakers can cut him when his dad retires in 2 years if they want.Bronny has four years guaranteed I thought?
If you're Lebron and worth $1.2 billion, why not play for the league minimum at this point and let the Lakers go to town signing high quality role players to build depth on the roster?

Your other points are correct, but the union thing was the first one that came to my mind,Because you don’t get to $1.2B by being satisfied with a dollar amount.
An extra $50M a year (minus taxes/fees) is a lot of money regardless.
The union would not want anyone taking a discount like that.
He won’t devalue his brand.
He’s looking to be a part owner in buying an NBA team. Another $100M doesn’t hurt that endeavor.
NFL contracts work differently than NBA contracts though.I know my post was out there with the "league minimum" idea but even pulling a Tom Brady and taking a modest pay cut to create cap room in the future. I don't think Brady's brand was affected by that. If anything it made him look great in many people's eyes.
