Man to man defense will help with rebounding.Oh I’m not saying there isn’t room for improvement on the glass. I think Jesse and Maliq can be the starting bigs on a good M2M SU team, but they aren’t the problem when it comes to rebounding.
Are you saying you’re out on Benny as a starting 3?
He’s a replica of Bell, but not as good a shooter. What about Lands? Could he fit?
Nice classy message from JJ.His official transfer announcement
Mike’s more confident than I am that JJ would be an adequate full-time PG if Judah left. Happy to be wrong, of course.
Well done young man. Well written and covers everything. His official transfer announcement
One of my favorite movies ever.
I’m not taking sides on individual players. I just think the biggest weakness on this team this year was rebounding. And every player at the positions was given a ton of opportunities to demonstrate they could fill that role - Every one of them. And no one was able to grab what was a clear path to playing time. So we had musical chairs all season long.Oh I’m not saying there isn’t room for improvement on the glass. I hope so. But my belief is rebounding is a mentality.Man to man defense will help with rebounding.
...love it!Red rover red rover
The shot doctor prescribes 1,000 three point attempts practiced daily for that trio.
I worry Taylor will get exposed in m2m at guard, not enough quickness and foot speedI am very interested in what is going to happen at our forward position. Does Taylor move up full time at the 2 guard? Can his foot speed handle guards? Way different being a 2 in M2M compared to the zone.
Will Taylor/Benny/Copeland/Bell/Brown all come back? If they do can we even add a starter at the portal? Forwards are interesting now we have our 2G.
It appears he is 100 per cent committed to syracuse per the transfer portalI don’t foresee JJ coming back, I think he and Mintz are too similar and I highly doubt JJ intends to find a place where he only plays 18-20 minutes a game.
I think Syracuse will chase a tall and fast 2 guard with a quality 3pt% to compliment Judah’s slashing ability (could end up being bell or Justin but I think Justin is still a year away). While I think Judah will improve his shooting, I don’t think he will become a high volume guy from behind the line so a good shooter for the 2 is critical.
What does that mean exactly? He's "greyed out" and no longer available in the actual portal program (which I picture to be a BASIC program with nothing but ASCII characters connected to a dot matrix printer and a 1200 baud modem)? It appears he is 100 per cent committed to syracuse per the transfer portal
No one is transferring in to play behind Jesse, whose Girlfriend will have Weitsman’s former seats. As much as the JJ news is exciting, I'm thoroughly waiting/on the edge of my seat for the Center that we get to transfer in. I know guards are so important in our program but having a good center just helps so much
JJ and Judah would only be the best guard tandem in the ACC.A Mintz/Starling backcourt is a headache to match up against on its own. I really liked what we saw from Cope, Benny and Brown over the course of the year ( later on for Benny and Cope) too so that's 3 more nice pieces. Benny's 3 pt shot was the most consistent finishing out the year of pretty much anyone.
It's amazing though if we can get Judah and JJ locked in how much potential that could unlock.

Lol I’ll gladly eat my words on this but Jesse isnt coming back. He said his goodbyes at the Dome, cant earn NIL and can easily head home and play pro ball there if he cant make into the nba/g league. His position coach told his best friend this. Sooo yeah idk. I would love for him to come backNo one is transferring in to play behind Jesse, whose Girlfriend will have Weitsman’s former seats.

I have been told he is in the process, as we post, of making a decision. It could go either way. Sone would say 50/50Would think an answer on Jessie comes very soon. Staff needs a decision.
just gonna put this out there:I know there's plenty of time for some of our guys to bolt but I feel good that there hasn't been any announcements from any of our current players. Portal is crazy!
