Put some money on Niemann, Pereira, Finau, Young and Hovland.

It's too bad about the cold weather and Saturday is calling for rain most of the day. The course is beautiful. Long with a lot of uphill, elevated greens. The rough is very dense and lush, about 3 inches consistently through the course. Not a blade out of place. Most of the bunkers are deep with talcum powder sand. TV does not do justice for how incredible this course is. The holes are extremely challenging with not many holes that will be gimmes. But, except for the rough, not too many natural challenges such as trees or water. The winner might be who ever leads in driving accuracy or greens in regulation. As simple as that statement is.

Yep, that and a lot of patience. And thanks for the photos. :)

A co-worker went to the practice round Monday. He said the course was in great shape and that the rough is very thick and was giving the players a lot of trouble.

Some of the players have been complaining about how cold it is. The high today in Rochester was 50. And it was windy. Yes, it was pretty uncomfortable.

Highs for the next 4 days are forecast to be 64, 77, 64 and 71. It is supposed to be sunny except for Saturday, when there is an 80% chance of rain.

Believe with the PGA being played in May now, northern courses will no longer be considered as venues for PGA tournaments. Oak Hill was named before the schedule change so they let them host one last time.

That is silly. May in upstate NY is fine for golf. I would rather played in 65 or 70 degree weather than play in 85 degree weather at Southern Hills or some other place down south.
Looking ahead there are two more northeast PGA stops. 2026 Aronimink in Newtown Square, PA and 2029 Baltusrol in Springfield, NJ.

I got 20 bucks on each of the following (bets placed 7PM Wed.)

Rahm 7-1
Cantlay 14-1
Morikawa 25-1
Thomas 28-1
Cam. Young 30-1

For you canucks out there Corey Conners is one of the only 9 dudes under par at this moment.

Oak Hill looks mint. Love hearing the praise for the course.

My dad worked security at the '94 Ryder Cup. My mom wakes me and my bro up at like 4 a.m. on Sunday and says "you're going to the Ryder Cup." She drives us up from 'Cuse, and my dad sneaks us in for the final day (i.e., singles). Awesome day even though the U.S. lost.

Good info.

Hopefully they change their mind on this new policy. There are so many great courses in the North, especially the Northeast. And if they ever start using a standard golf ball with dampened performance, it might allow majors to return to some other great courses in the North...

I am going to be extremely upset if I don’t get to see Sungjae on Saturday
