2023 Spring Practice

I have not reviewed all 10 pages How is Lamson looking? Anyone have insight?

Yes.

I am sure somebody has insight. ;)

Apparently he threw for CJ and another WR who were doing their thing at Pro Day.

IIRC - he also partook in the team tug-of-war activities, which indicates he's been given a "full go" by the medical staff.

I'm tempted to leave it "TUB-of-war", since that's hysterical.

Love the tub-of-war, but don’t care for spell check.

Being able to play different fronts is going to be important.
At the least, it appears this will provide a response when teams attempt to power rush our defense. Seemed like the biggest weakness with our defense the last couple of years.

Was disappointed when Emily listed the players working with the first team, she named 4 OL and they were the 3 returning starters and the transfer from Richmond. We have those 4 guys penciled in as starters. Have had that since the start of the spring semester.

Would love to know who the other player(s) were working with first team.

That fifth starter is presumably the center but maybe they are working some of the big 4 at center some as well.

Any journos attending spring practice, please at least try and figure out who all the players are working with the first team at OL. You get that info and you have a meaningful scoop, at least to some of us fanatics that care about stuff like this. Thanks in advance for whatever insights can be provided.

1. Confirmed there was no nutritional guidance in the past during Babers reign so this is a positive development and should pay off immediately. This should have been obvious in 2019 when they had Edinger teaching kids about protein and carbs. MAC schools were ahead of us here.

2. Some names were dropped by vets to look out for. Isaiah Johnson and Kadon Bailey. We saw a glimpse of what Johnson could do last year, as there was little noticeable drop off in coverage between him and Garrett. Kadon’s been hyped on the mob podcast by Marlowe and Mikel, now we have Caleb talking him up as well.

3. Barron’s a well spoken kid like Caleb. Wonder if we’ll see either of those two eventually on the staff. Always a positive when you’re impressed by the defensive players interviewing like pro qb’s.

I see Bailey taking that 3rd LB spot along with Wax and Thompson.
