There will be kids transferring after the fall semester (or during even) as well. This cycle will be endless until the NCAA puts a governor on it (which they likely never will).

"The NCAA" doesn't put restrictions on anything. The member schools do. Coaches across many sports are beyond dissatisfied with the workings of the portal, especially IRT timeframes. If the schools and coaches want restrictions they'll vote them in. If they don't, they won't. IMO, timelines for using the Portal are coming, it's a question of when.

Does anyone have an update on SU getting a solid F/O specialist via portal ? Did we try and get Chase Mullins (UNC transfer to Penn St) If we did, what went wrong ?

Also heard Cuse still in the running for adding the LIU FOGO.

To answer the question from earlier, I don't know if Cuse reached out to Mullins but he never considered the Orange. It was between PSU, a different ACC team, and Jacksonville.

The indications are pretty strong that Sherrer is transferring to OSU. Sherrer was UMd's #2 LSM in 2021 and did a nice job - showed a lot of potential. This past season Sherrer was supposedly a little banged up and Prybylski was the Terps' #2 LSM for the most part. Still, I don't like seeing him go.

I thought OSU over-achieved last year.

Which of his transfers is not a good cultural fit?

You got to have good players if you want to win. I don't think OSU recruits well enough to do it without some transfers.

Look at the 2017 team that made it to the NCAA final, Ben Randall, their top D man - transfer, Eric Fannell their top scorer - transfer.

Is it cultural or some players aren't happy he's bringing in talent that will compete for playing time? He has added a some very talented players. He knows the team he had wasn't good enough to make it to MMD wknd so why not add some talented transfers that maybe can get u there? The portal gives u an opportunity to get better right away. He's trying to cash in like Rutgers did last yr.

Ubriaco hasn't been on UMd's roster the last 2 seasons, so it seems peculiar that he is on the portal list as a Maryland player.

Cook stands out for me. Quick, fast and accurate, a born scorer. I'd sell the farm for him. Chances are he likes Brown, maybe waiting for UVA or Md. Love to know why he hasn't been snapped up.
