This the post? Never heard of this person before so no idea if he's just trying to get attention.
Would be spicy!
did someone reputable say this? i just checked in with a plugged in source who said they are not leaving uva...
Now I can't find that post. Maybe it was deleted. The time on it was 4:09pm today.Someone else posted on X after your post here that they confirmed it's false.
anybody ever hear of a recruit being able to get out of an nli (or whatever they're calling it now) without a coach leaving/getting fired? No I didn't think so that's why I prefaced it and I figured you or another one of our guys with a good source would be able to debunk pretty clearly which appears to be the case. Seemed far fetched but in D1 lax you can never rule anything out.
I mean, I would think the contracts are written so that if you end up not attending the school and fulfilling their obligations, they don't get the payments.anybody ever hear of a recruit being able to get out of an nli (or whatever they're calling it now) without a coach leaving/getting fired?
those are signed in november, as opposed to summer? when current players are signing them. little millon ready to sit out a year?
they're also written so that you don't get to play anywhere else that year.I mean, I would think the contracts are written so that if you end up not attending the school and fulfilling their obligations, they don't get the payments.
If they aren't written that way, then the collective/school/donor deserves what they get. Not hard to find a lawyer who can write a contract that will protect the donor. View attachment 252193

Not sure I would sign that contract. I get agreeing to forfeit payments if I leave, but I wouldn't sign a contract that said I couldn't leave if I wanted.they're also written so that you don't get to play anywhere else that year.

Do the Ivies make kids sign NLI? If so Hunter Chauvette definitely switched his mind from Yale to Hopkins the summer after his Senior year. Never understood how he was able to do that.

Oh crap. I read wgdsr's post as NIL, not NLI.Misread your question as NIL versus NLI. Yes players get out of NLI's all the time, schools just release them 98% of the time.
sorry... we've been talking about 2 different things as we each didn't catch each other's posts clearly enough. Not sure I would sign that contract. I get agreeing to forfeit payments if I leave, but I wouldn't sign a contract that said I couldn't leave if I wanted.
ha! i missed your reply, too. we're idiots. i just posted the same.
ok. has a recruit ever been released out of one to be eligible as a freshman? def could happen nowadays. but i don't recall it.Misread your question as NIL versus NLI. Yes players get out of NLI's all the time, schools just release them 98% of the time.

i believe that def could be true. i am not 100 on it by any means. we both probably consume a lot of nc$$, i don't recall ever seeing a recruit in hoops or football (or lax) getting that. but of course no one sees everything.Yes, Syracuse lax has done it a few times.

who has gotten one?
SU had a Fogo recruit a number of years ago who they let out of his NIL in the summer and he ended up at Marquette. There was also a middie I believe but the name escapes me.
This one? No one likes to see NCAA Lax betting accounts battling ... what world.
