ACC, PAC-12, and BIG alliance / conference realignment

Hey you know what if nothing else it’s a middle finger to FSU, Clemson and UNC. Good for NC State. Look if those three schools decide to leave so be it, this looks like it protects the ACC for at least a decade. Furthermore it obviously got yes votes from Miami, Virginia, Virginia tech all schools we were also mentioned In trying to leave. Good move by Acc, just hate that College Football has come to this…….. oh and hopefully it might help Syracuse land a kid or two from those areas.

So that is the first half of the equation. Now let's hear what if anything related to distribution of any dollars beyond equal share has transpired to get the vote.

Good luck to them finding the money.

I agree with Jake

But if it does not come to fruition, Big12 will scoop those programs and rework their network deal with those schools added and make more money while the ACC is stuck falling behind further.

I also think UNC is going to ultimately be the first team to start the domino death spiral of the conference in about five years
I agree 100000% that UNC will be the first to leave the conference and they will do it like the Colts leaving Baltimore.

It would just be nice if there was some messages from the ACC Commissioner or the ADs calling out the obvious. UNC, FSU, Clemson know that they are leaving and are intentionally sabotaging the rest of the league. Because they are using hostage style negotiations tactics we will not be able to expand because those schools have an over developed sense of self importance. The UNC BoT will be more than happy to have their students travel to USC when they join the B10 whatever conference, so they are obviously full of s__t when they say it is not practical today with the proposed new applicants to the ACC. Otto will see you all in hell and oh yeah FSU sucks. (End of statement)
No need to call anyone out - everyone who follows this stuff knows what is happening.

Wow, so NC State broke lockstep with North Carolina? Kudos to them for growing a pair and looking out for themselves and not big brother.

That's...unexpected.

Also, well done beating UConn. lol Appreciate you. :fistbump

Disagree. it is part of a messaging strategy for negotiation, brand and larger awareness which includes the politics as well. We are not talking about schools holding out because they are looking out genuinely for the welfare of the conference. With that the case, you put the information out there for all to consume.

Great move by the ACC. At this point the ACC should make sure that they do everything to stick to the letter of the GOR. No negotiations on any school that want to leave. Pay the full amount or go to court.

This is shameful RIP ACC.

Feel terrible for the non revenue athletes of ours being treated like puppets now they have to go to California for games. I’m furious and think the university is pathetic for bowing down to Cal Berkeley and Stanford. Invite Colgate too while we’re at it.

NC State has nowhere to go unlike UNC.

This is a dead conference walking. It's a matter of when. These schools may feel confident enough to give up the GOR and pay the buyout.
