That’s the one established guy out there that this company could realistically get, that could potentially really turn the tide. IMO.

The tide has turned enough so that AEW will be an ongoing strong wrestling product.
The one guy I'd LOVE to see on AEW is Bryan Danielson. There are so many great matches he could have there.

It's not a done deal until it's a done deal. HowEVER, word on the street is Danielson to AEW, with his debut to be at the Arthur Ashe Stadium show.
Why AEW? Because he can have matches with greats from other promotions as well, with AEW doing so many crossovers with New Japan, Impact and others.

The key for Danielson is the New Japan part. He has wanted to wrestle there but also in wrestle in the states. Win-win for him plus comparable money and less dates.

I'm ambivalent about Punk. Although he'll at least give them some mainstream pub initially. But Danielson is such a great worker capable of adapting to a variety of styles, and he's got a whole roster with which to work.

Same on Punk. He’s obviously a jerk and not a great worker, but people know who he is. If hes into a storyline, he can cut a great promo.

I think it’s the promo, potential loose cannon thing that makes him intriguing. In an era of CAW 6’s, you need a few wild cards.

Should add on that. He’s not a bad worker...I just always thought he looked clunky as hell. The Ufc fights showed he’s not a fantastic natural athlete or anything.

My fave wrestler from my fave tag team of ALL-TIME: The Midnight Express. Featuring the incomparable Jim Cornette as their Millionaire Momma's Boy manager.
I was lucky enough to see them win the NWA Tag Team belts from Tully and Arn at the Philly Civic Center. That was a real hot match with a real hot crowd.

Vince tried to contact AEW sponsors because of the Domino’s incident. He tried to get journalists to make it a bigger deal.
Only David Shoemaker did Vince’s bidding. I am now done with that guy.

It looks like, not only has the door been opened from AEW to New Japan, but New Japan is barging in. According to Bryan Alavarez, at last night's New Japan Strong show, several of Japan's top wrestlers hinted about having matches with AEW wrestlers. We're talking Tanahashi, Wil Ospreay, and Ibushi, among others. Dave Meltzer said that Tony Khan is trying to secure a, wait for it, Tanahashi vs. Moxley match for AEW b/c it's Moxley's dream opponent.
It's perhaps been understated how AEW has formed alliances with so many other organizations. It's the 'rising tide lifts all boats' approach to building success. The diametric opposite of the insularity of WWE. You know, give the people, and the wrestlers, what they want.

Gotta think that Jericho is going away for awhile. Put MJF over clean. He may be transitioning to that Cena role of putting people over to build them up.

It was clean but...they did leave him the protection of, he could’ve hit Judas Effect and probably won under normal rules. His finisher has been heavily protected, and he couldn’t use it here.
But yeah, you’re probably right.

That is absolutely amazing. That's wrestling. For all the bells and whistles that WWE have, they are losing the connection with the fans.
