Supposed to fly into LAX next week with my family .. and we’re not going

I just flew a bunch for work last week. Picked up influenza A (confirmed via test) in either Seattle/Tacoma airport or O'Hare. Nasty, honestly the worst illness I've ever had. The number of sick people traveling was the highest I've ever seen. You can also bet that the number of confirmed coronavirus cases on the west coast will increase over the next few weeks since it has already been confirmed in CA and Seattle.

Virginia doesn't even have covid19 test kits yet. Thanks Pence.

Still planning on going to Vegas on March 18th (from Boston). Hopefully in a few more weeks we’ll have more clarity/answere

I’m not flying anywhere until Memorial Day weekend. I’m hoping this won’t be a thing anymore, by that point.

We're hitting Hawaii at the end of the month. I'm not even going to bring up the possibility of cancelling it until it gets above 0 degrees here.

I am canceling several trips abroad over the next 2 months (Korea, Prague, Seville). I’m not risking it.

Eh, what do I care. If it happens, it happens. Hopefully prices on travel drop! I like deals.

I have Chicago, Vancouver, London, Richmond (VA), Orlando all coming up before summer! Plus, probably at least one drive down to NYC to see friends.

I just wash my hands like a normal human, and never use hand sanitizers to keep my immunity up! I avoid people that use lots of hand sanitizer like the plague. They're gonna kill us all in the end with their freaky little sick children!

Was in Orange County last week and Port St Lucie the week before. I’ll be in Louisiana next week and back to Cali the week after.

My boss is the Director of EHS and he’s been tasked with providing senior leadership a briefing on the virus every day. He’s not scared yet, and his eldest daughter is studying abroad in Rome this year.

Oh, and to answer the actual question, winter break is finishing up today, but we were staying here anyway, because, and I'm not sure if I shared this...my son has varsity hoops playoffs. We had talked about going to SoCal for the April break, but probably not going to do that.

Fly to LAX on Monday with my team. I’m a bit nervous.

Leaving for Cozumel/Tulum tomorrow. Not worried about that at all. Have Romania/Italy in May though and working on cancelling most of the Italy portion as we speak. Hoping credit card travel insurance will just wipe out the whole thing, not particularly interested in eating all of the costs.

Just got back from northern Italy (suburbs of Milan) two days ago... Counting 12 days from now until I'm in the clear.

We are driving to Florida on Friday. We'll be good.
Speaking of virus transmission, we went to Atlantic City for the afternoon last week. The casino's are a great place for virus transmission.

Atlantic City itself is a virus. LOL

Our university is not allowing my team to travel to California for our spring break matches. they made the ruling this morning. A little relieved that we're not traveling (parents were breathing down my neck). Bummed that $10,000 from my budget is gone with no chance of getting it back :(

Have they talked with the airlines? Even without the Coronavirus, Alaska Air is always good about at least letting our university use cancelled tickets towards future trips, even if we don't have a good reason for needing to cancel.

Also, any chance at trying to talk the university into covering those costs? Or the NCAA?

American Airlines told us to Off. I am talking with our university about reimbursement, but we'll see what happens. We are under a budget reduction of 10% across the board, so we'll see what happens.
