Anyone else enjoying watching Butler get steamrolled in the NNBE?

No Brad Stevens = no more mojo. What I liked most is that it was SJU that blew them out in their place. Now Butler is by themselves at the bottom.

Butler should get used to being at the bottom of that league cause its going to take Gtown another 3 years to really hit bottom and try and take that last spot from them.

I think it's funny that Providence has won five league games in a row. The Rhode Island mafia is finally getting their wish.
The difference is that they don't have to play (and lose to) Cuse, Louisville, Pitt, Cincy, UConn this year. Now they play against teams more on a level with which they can compete.

Strength of schedule is really over rated. All a tough sched does is grind teams down and lower their seed in the tournament. PC would probably get hammered in the old BE, but now they're a fringe top 25 team and playing for NCAA bid.

Our sched this year is perfect. Very few gimmes, not a ton of killer games, but there are a bunch of games you can lose if you don't play well. That's all you need. If you're good, you'll get a lot of wins, you'll get tested, and you aren't gonna take any unnecessary losses.

Providence would be doing OK in the Big East this year as well. A lot of old BE teams in the middle are not that great this year.

Record would be a little lower by year end, but they may also get a few better scalps at home. Resume would be about the same level at the end of the day.

Geez youse guys. Watch Butler in their two title game runs and then watch SU today.

:)

a watered down big east is still way better than the horizon league, which is a big reason Butler is struggling.
