Yes. Joe, PJ, and Colby. Everything is in Flux. Change is always disruptive. Hopefully the power players come together soon. Things were heading in a very good direction. Our previous Chancellor really messed us up on his way out. People have no clue about the value of JW. I personally was convinced that Carp was the pick. Im very impressed with the guy from Toledo and I'm hopeful that the love of Syracuse will overcome the Baloney that is currently happening. I know each one of these individuals and they all love SU. They are all good people that are extremely successful and used to being in charge. The new AD has his work cut out for him. As to Fran. If he's supported he's all in. I think that he will be.
Next head bball coach selection is obviously important BUT nowhere as important as football.
The UCF coach and or G will both be supported. Personally I'm fine with either one. G was Jims choice but obviously the job had to go to Red.
JB has an enormous amount of support which shouldn't be ignored. Melo loves and respects Jim. Jim is tight with Adam. Adam isn't liked by some of the larger boosters.

Ever since they have been around circa 2019 SU football and basketball have been a train wreck for the most part. I get they have given lots of money but their influence in the AD has been bad for SU.

Also their name on the Melo Center is BS.

So basically we have cry bay big donors that don’t like when things don’t go their way and it’s ruining other people that are very helpful to the University and this got this way because our chancellor did not put on his big boy pants and say no.

As I stated in a previous post. Many so called insiders really have no clue.
If Fran, the Lally’s, and other donors besides JB decide to leave, it’s not because of a lack of passion and appreciation for Syracuse. It’s because of the foolishness of the “fans”.
None of us know what’s happening behind the scenes at this time, but let’s have faith in the true supporters and boosters we have.
And maybe if some of you charged your time you spend trashing individuals on the internet to NIL, we would win a national championship

As kcsu posted, there are alums involved who love the school, played for the football team and want what’s right. They are also very connected with other alums who also want what’s right. It’s never just one person. You want everyone involved rowing in the right direction.

This goes beyond just one AD candidate and getting their person or not. Easy to simplify it on a message board to folks vs the Lally’s but there was a lot more going on behind the scenes. The leadership vacuum at the school transitioning several major roles didn’t help. And trying to force a terrible candidate in Lyke on everyone else was bizarre.

School should have been more on top of NIL stuff. orange united was a disaster and the organization in charge went bankrupt. It’s harder and harder to support the school when they continue to make their own foolish mistakes.

It seems to me that what the school has been slow to realize is that in this modern age there are few secrets. Boards like this, donors wanting attention. Info gets leaked and fan bases don't follow around meekly. We have a voice and use it.
Also I'm on the record Cuse and a bunch of other name schools can't hang in this arms race. Get the effort but hope some plans are being made for the next step.

Do you think all the factions will give the new AD a chance to broker peace because he's new and an outsider? He has no loyalty or ties. Can be impartial to an extent.

I liked the Haynie pick, but this thread reads like the Lally’s may have corrupted him too. Why else would he not get along with JW. It would appear JW listened to everyone and didn’t bow to the Lallys when they asked. Probably a big reason he was ultimately forced out. Also surprised no one mentioned that AW initially leaving was spearheaded by the Lallys with KS as cover.
