I assumed micron would have jumped on this. Doesn’t sound like it from what’s been posted.
I think there needs to be an angle that they are supporting minorities - that seems to be their thing when it comes to donations.Does anyone know if SU has reached out to Micron ? They're going to a 100 billion dollar in the next 12 months. I couldn’t imagine being any more fortunate having this company being here in CNY. 10-20 million annually would be chump change to them
They make computer chips, not potato chips.I assumed micron would have jumped on this. Doesn’t sound like it from what’s been posted.
At this point it seems far more likely to be renamed “Lally University at Syracuse”.Just wait until they rename SU to ‘Syracuse University brought to you by Micron Technology’.
At this point it seems far more likely to be renamed “Lally University at Syracuse”.
Or “Syracuse University, a John Lally joint”.
And maybe their executives will donate.This. They are not going to rename the dome or support NIL.
However, we may attract smaller support manufacturers that would be willing to invest in their brand locally.
You can never go wrong telling your mom you love her. Mothers Day is May 10th.This is such a pivotal and stressful time in Syracuse athletics.
I don’t know whether to puke, crap my pants, or call my mom and tell her I love her.
I’m amazed at how many of you guys are willing to vilify the guy who has actually stepped up for the university more than anyone. This thread is embarrassing.Do you think they’d allow “Syracuse” to even show up on the logo?
Where’s Shirt World? Oh wait…
I'm not the least bit surprised.No. It wasn't made in public, and it wasn't said to a recruit. That's as far as I'll disclose.
Can the maker of the spurtle sponsor us?
I mean…. Does the joint get me high?At this point it seems far more likely to be renamed “Lally University at Syracuse”.

But I was going to get her an NIL donation to Syracuse football …You can never go wrong telling your mom you love her. Mothers Day is May 10th.
So, I have a couple of questions.
Earlier in this thread, there was a supposition that the Lally's supported Lyke because they are friends with her. Eminently believable.
However, to apparently block the hiring of the university/search comittee's preferred candidate due solely to a friendship seems a bit extreme.
How does a single donor, regardless of how influential, have the ability to block an AD candidate from being hired?
And why would donors (meaning any donor who contributes a lot of money to athletic programs) care who the AD is to that extent?
I don't get it.

I'm not in the know but based on what's been said on this board is that the Lally's wanted to have Lyke as AD to be their puppet. I'm not saying this is true but that's what some have suggested. And why would donors (meaning any donor who contributes a lot of money to athletic programs) care who the AD is to that extent?

Nothing adding to this thread but I am positive I saw Lyke running downtown this morning. When does she leave town?
