He had the kicker out immediately on the field. There was no debate. I was right there.

He should have went for it. He always makes the conservative decision in these situations and that’s why we haven’t won more games.
With whom? The imaginary ST coach? So? He decided to talk it over? Like I said above, ive seen teams send the FG team out then call time and change their mind.
I wouldn't have had much of a problem if he called TO to discuss how to get the 4th and what to do on the next play after they made the first down. Calling a TO and then kicking the FG was stupid. He gets paid 4 million to know what to do.
has nothing to do with in game feel. What he did happens a lot. He wanted to talk over the decision to go for it or try the FG.

Ive watched a lot of football and never lost my ish because the coach called a timeout with 40 seconds left to decide whether to kick a FG or go for it…. Because I’ve never really seen a coach do that. Not when the kick ties the game and the other team is getting the ball back with X amount of time on the clock.
As meh as Anish and Golic were, there’s a reason that they were both dumbfounded as well.
Playing for the moral victoryAll that damn clock burning on even that drive sure caught up.
We got the ball with 5 minutes left. That is plenty of time. But somehow we had the clock being milked down to single digits.
If Dino doesn't have to call the timeout on that third down we pick it up and have 2 time outs.
Why can't they get plays in quickly?

Yes, if you see it in a late game situation, where calling a TO 30 seconds early leaves time for the opponent to get into FG range to try the GW FG, please point that out.ive seen it plenty. I’ll be sure to pony it out to you the next time I see it. Maybe even Sunday.

You know what’s even more improbable? Running the clock to 0:10 and doing the same thing.
Control what you can control, JFC this board ties itself in knots to defend the indefensible.
Between that call and the timeout when Clemson was spiking the ball (which I think was worse) have to be two of the dumbest coaching calls ever.
Go on twitter and type in dino Babers and see what the rest of America thinks about him and his decisions.
Specific instances, please.LOL. I already responded to that.
