Anyone want to defend that TO by Babers?

He had the kicker out immediately on the field. There was no debate. I was right there.

So? He decided to talk it over? Like I said above, ive seen teams send the FG team out then call time and change their mind.

He should have went for it. He always makes the conservative decision in these situations and that’s why we haven’t won more games.

that’s a different discussion. And I agree. I think we should have gone for it.

has nothing to do with in game feel. What he did happens a lot. He wanted to talk over the decision to go for it or try the FG.

Ive watched a lot of football and never lost my ish because the coach called a timeout with 40 seconds left to decide whether to kick a FG or go for it…. Because I’ve never really seen a coach do that. Not when the kick ties the game and the other team is getting the ball back with X amount of time on the clock.

As meh as Anish and Golic were, there’s a reason that they were both dumbfounded as well.

All that damn clock burning on even that drive sure caught up.

We got the ball with 5 minutes left. That is plenty of time. But somehow we had the clock being milked down to single digits.

If Dino doesn't have to call the timeout on that third down we pick it up and have 2 time outs.

Why can't they get plays in quickly?

With whom? The imaginary ST coach?

every special team unit has a coach. And he’s probably on the headphones talking with his OC and maybe someone else.

ive seen it plenty. I’ll be sure to pony it out to you the next time I see it. Maybe even Sunday.

Playing for the moral victory

Long time Philadelphia Eagle season ticket holder weighing in. I've seen a large man with a walrus type mustache do that a few times.

Yes, if you see it in a late game situation, where calling a TO 30 seconds early leaves time for the opponent to get into FG range to try the GW FG, please point that out.

I would’ve preferred to just be ready to go for it on 4th, but if he called a timeout and went for it… fine, but to call the timeout and then kick to tie, if you see that on Sunday, please let me know - and then I’ll let you know when that coach is fired in the off-season.

LOL. I already responded to that.

"Thanks again and GOOD LUCK next year big guy wherever the hell that is "

You know what’s even more improbable? Running the clock to 0:10 and doing the same thing.

Control what you can control, JFC this board ties itself in knots to defend the indefensible.

We didn’t even score and half the griping is about how much time would’ve been left on the clock had we scored. we should worry about scoring first since it’s something we struggle to do.

Between that call and the timeout when Clemson was spiking the ball (which I think was worse) have to be two of the dumbest coaching calls ever.
Go on twitter and type in dino Babers and see what the rest of America thinks about him and his decisions.

I had to do it because I didn’t believe it. A lot of material there and nothing positive that I saw (of course, it is Twitter).

And that’s always been a knock on him until he won it. I guess we can wait for Dino to get his Mahomes, Hill and Kelce.

I do think that some coaches kick that FG. But somehow, with Dino this year, literally every game management decision is proven to be the wrong one. His decisions at the end of games are directly leading to losses. Is this cosmic fate? Or is Dino just really, really bad at this
