Here's something I found interesting. Two people I know who follow a decent amount of college football, but not Syracuse really, have this perception that Syracuse always starts strong and then collapses at the end of the season. We Syracuse fans knows this isn't true but I wonder if that's becoming widespread and could hurt when trying to be ranked in the early season. Might need to be 5 or 6-0 before making it whereas other teams without this stigma can get in.

That's a lot better than the perception of some in this fanbase. Injuries and depth with do that. It happens almost every year.

Not sure why UNC doesn't deserve to be ahead of Texas and Oregon?

The collapse is what hurts us finish with a good record and a bowl you'll get preseason love like we did in 2019. It is unfortunate that if we beat 2 loss Clemson to move to 5-0 we probably are still unranked. I'd expect more seasons like this one where the preseason ranked teams take longer to lose and drop out not many upsets the first few weeks.

5-0 to end the season and win our bowl game and I think we'll be ranked next summer coming off 10-3.

Loserville is getting ready to fly out of the top-25.

They have next week off but will then be booted at home by Duke and finish the season with two more losses (@Miami and vs. Kentucky).
