AP Newsbreak: Source says Rice video sent to NFL

The cover up is always worse than the crime. Someone in the NFL office will take the fall for this. NOW and groups like that won't let this drop.

is toast. he at least should be fined 30 million to be donated to womens groups, he then should be suspended for a year to be judged on by goodell before he's canned.

Which is why Goddell was already laying the goundwork by saying Rice may play again...I'll go out on a limb and guess that we now learn that the NFL uses the same team as the IRS for their data recovery needs.

Notice his statement...

Goodell told CBS on Tuesday that "no one in the NFL, to my knowledge" had seen a new video of what happened on the elevator until it was posted online.

Toast as 12 members of congress sent him a letter today also demanding transparency

What will be Goodell's wife statement after he gets fired......

Goodell better hope this story isn't true, or he will need to update his resume asap.

He'd still have 14 mil left over this year if I remember that right but i could be way off

This smells a lot like the Rutgers BB incident which featured another guy name Rice (Mike). The president called it a "failure of process" and moved on. Will Roger be so lucky?

If this ap story is true he will not survive this.

Probably not. As punishment he will go on to continue being extremely wealthy, land a gig on a major network, and do speaking engagements getting 100K for 2 hours. crazy how different life can be when you are in a position of power

Owners would have to vote him out -- doesn't seem likely. He would have to leave on his own accord, which I don't think (supposedly those who know him say he'd never do this) he would ever do.

Perfect non-denial denial.

Remember though that the President of Rutgers didn't lose his job, just the AD and the coach.

There is zero chance the NFL didn't see the videos. Zero. Sure doesn't seem like they had a contingency plan in place, though.

Sure, but he will be giving up his 30 mil a year salary.

I wouldn't be at all surprised that this cop also sent the tape to TMZ and just waited for the casino to close to deflect the attention it would receive.

He'll take some more heat- seriously, anyone w/ half a brain knows the nfl likely saw that video. His credibility is shot...but he'll survive. IMO

Rog is a joke. This POS makes 44 million a year. He has to go, but Bob Kraft, John Mara, Jerry Jones are protecting him.
