You totally missed what I was saying. I’m not talking as it applies to just one person I’m saying as a t applies to the population as a whole.

There’s nothing misleading though, it’s just raw data. The county keeps track of everything including positive test cases with unvxd, 1 shot, 2 shots etc.

if he is positive he’ll have to isolate, vaccine or not. 10 days from start of symptoms or if asymptomatic, 10 days from specimen collection.

im not sure this is true. (I thought it was) but I’m not sure now the NYS dept of health requires vaccinated people to quarantine if they’re positive, it’s come up a couple times at school board meetings.

its true. At least at SU it is. If your positive you’re infectious. You may not get as sick since you’re vaccinated but you can still give it to someone else.

Not misleading at all. What it means is that of the 299 active covid positive cases in Saratoga County, 113 of those 299 had been vaccinated. That’s 113 active break through cases. Onondaga county is seeing similar numbers. It’s worth mentioning because Babers was exposed enough to be tested.

yes Onondaga county is seeing similar numbers. But besides the vaccines not being quite as effective against delta, Onondaga county is at 80% of the adult population having had at least 1 shot so far. The pool of people vaccinated that could get covid is much larger than the pool of unvaxed. Also, the main goal of the vaccines is to keep people from serious illness, hospitalization and death. Most in the hospital are unvaxed. As of yesterday there were 26 people in Onondaga county in the ICU. All but a few were unvaxed.

Thank You that’s what what I unsuccessfully was trying to get across.

Does he have to actually catch the ball though?
Sounds like a philosophical quandary...If an S.U. QB throws a ball to a TE and he doesn't catch it, is it an incomplete pass, or is it time to fire the O.C.?

Hmmm...

If he is vaccinated, per the CDC he does not need to isolate. If he isn't vaccinated and we learn he is quarantining, this turns in to a big issue.

All Syracuse staff and students are required to be vaccinated besides very limited medical/religious exemptions. Would hope Syracuse didn't bend the rules for their highly paid football coach. PR nightmare in the making if it comes out he isn't vaccinated
This mandate is toothless. Schools can “mandate “ the vaccine, unless the person objects for basically any reason. It’s a simple form to complete.

Nothing seems to be going right for Dino, if it wasn't for bad luck he'd have no luck at all. I take this as a sign his luck is going to eventually change for the good

Nice. And if it was a couple players that he was in contact with? Same deal if everyone else is negative?
If it was a couple players they’d he held out and the game would go on as planned, there’s not gonna be any postponements this year, if a team can’t make it they forfeit the game.

well the original goal of the vaccine was to not get sick at all. Now that people still get sick the goal has been changed to keep them out of hospitals and not die. There are 24 people hospitalized in Saratoga county, of those 10 were vaccinated. (AlbanyMed is not in Saratoga Cnty). Don’t know what those numbers are off hand.
