Bubble Watch - Thursday Tourney Week

It's 18 games out of 30-something. So obviously it matters in that it's a significant portion of the team's season. Not because they are "conference games." You might as well figure out a team's combined record on Tuesdays and Sundays and use it as a reason for why the team will or won't be dancing because of what their record is on those days. It's just as relevant.

The committee factors in conf record and where you finish in your conference, its a part of the process.

I wish it were the case, but I think you're wrong. VPI got left out with an 10-8 ACC record last year cause they stunk in December.

Depends on how you read the line in the criteria listed in the article I linked above:

Imbalanced conference schedules and results

I think Hall was probably above Marquette - but regardless they're both in.
Wow, you really think so?

Sagarin

Marquette - 30
Seton Hall - 50

KenPom

Marquette - 28
Seton Hall - 54

BPI

Marquette - 29
Seton Hall - 56

RPI

Marquette - 55
Seton Hall - 44

Top 50 Wins

Marquette - 7 (excellent 7-6 record)
Seton Hall - 4 (4-6 record)

Top 25 Wins

Marquette - 1 (1-3)
Seton Hall - 1 (1-4)

Marquette is a sure-fire lock, 8 seed at worst, imo. Whereas Seton Hall is a 10-11 seed (unless they win the BET again).

There was some bad results today. But nobody passed us yet. The team that was closest to us that played so far today (Illinois) lost.

I think the key games are going on tonight - Iowa, Vandy and Kansas St losing (hopefully)

But only Kansas St would pass us if they won IMO.

When does Indiana come back to bubble territory? We only want them winning one game correct?

Maybe this is nitpicking but could it help our cause if Florida State and UVA win tonight? That would be 3 out of 4 wins against the remaining 4 tournament teams if it happens.

someone explain again how after you get past the top 4 pac 12 teams any of them does anything for you?

What happened in Cal game? I'm not getting it on tv but looks like Utes came back to tie under a minute. 1 pt. game with 6 seconds to go! Anyone watching?

Utah down 3 5 seconds to go. Utah is inbounding

I believe we are still ahead of Cal. The biggest games right now are Vandy and Iowa, need both of them to lose.

yo jn, you see my question about 'bama?

Cal was up 11 with 2:20 left. Utah cut to the lead to 1 with 6 seconds left. Couldn't finish it off though

I didn't see your question and I know I'm not jn lol , but - I don't Bama is much of a threat at all. They'd only get in if they won the SECT IMO. Don't sweat them.

I'm thinking getting to the final game might just put them in...
