Buddy Boeheim ranks among ESPN’s top 2022 NBA Draft prospects

How many ACC players have put up 16-20 straight points in games? Buddy has done it several times. No one else in the league has done that even with teams keying on him. Buddy is the best shooter in the ACC and no one else is even close. Swider might be number two. I doubt many coaches in the ACC would argue that.

Betting against your own team on that team’s forum.

When keeping it real goes wrong.

I want to lose the bet.
Dasher and I play tournaments.

It’s not life altering money at all. I have said I want to lose the other bet to SUskibum.

If I lose it means my team is good.
Paying 480 dollars to be a top 6 seed is a good investment for me:
I would do it every year if I could.

A $200 bet is too small for you? You have to understand that Alsacs would rather lose the bet than win it, I imagine. How much would you expect him to bet under those circumstances?
I'd rather the bet be a football to the groin for the loser.

In all seriousness, the negotiation time doesn't seem to match the bet amount. I thought it would be for more, but I'm not the one betting. My gambling money is already tied up with survivor leagues, fantasy, and the supercontest.

Alan Griffin basically did what Buddy did last year.
Except Griffin sucked at the end of the year when Buddy lit it up.
Griffin scored the points you are describing in the portion of the season Buddy struggled.
If per 40 Griffin he scores 18.6 PPG.
Per 40 Buddy he scores 19.6.

It’s amazing how perception isn’t reality.

Griffin sucked at the end and Buddy was good but you would think their numbers would be a lot different when they aren’t.

How much do you want to bet and what terms?

Wait...you think griff was as good as Buddy last year? Yeah, when the competition got tougher Griff to use your words, sucked. and Buddy was good? I think a lot better than good. There isn't a college coach in the country that would take Griff over Buddy.

I had to be talked out of putting 10k on the Red Sox over this year. I'm not happy with those people right now but at the end, it was my decision.

The 3 point line only went back last year.
So that is only 1 of 3 years.

It’s not really a big point.
You are missing the pt. the numbers you are giving to White were with a shorter 3 pt shot. That is the point. And last year, as a Jr. Buddy was shooting at a greater distance. That is the point. He will also be shooting at a greater distance this year.

He has the height and his best attribute is a good one to have.

Hopefully he plays 2 more years of college ball and hits the combine strong and ready to plug and play.
This is buddy's last year. I wish he would come back but he doesn't want to.

When both played at their best, Buddy was better IMO. I think Griff is slightly under appreciated for what he did early in the year, but his shot selection was brutal.

Griffin played great early in the season, but it’s hard to ignore the team played better with him parked on the bench late in the season.

For sure, he became a mess at the end. Never seen a player like that

I didn’t say as good but he wasn’t that far off.
Alan did 80-90% of what Buddy did. Buddy was hot from the ACCT thru NCAAT. He was an all-American level good those games.
Alan wasn’t garbage last year. He struggled at the end. He scored the points the guy I was responding to was talking about.

Except it wasn’t just the ACC tournament and NCAA tournament. It was regular season games we needed against Notre Dame, North Carolina, Clemson, NC State twice. All games in February.

You’re better than this. I’m not sure why you’re doubling down. Do you really think he has the same numbers if he gets Covid.

He didn’t make one of the 3 All-ACC teams.
I think the kid is solid but this board elevates him and that is where my take comes from.
Next season I expect an all-ACC type of season but I don’t except his last 3 weeks over a season.

I would take Andrew White’s 2016-2017 right now and that wasn’t all-American level.

You keep driving the conversation because you keep diminishing the end of his season at all costs.

Just admit he had a good February and March and I will stop.

And do you really think he would have had the same numbers had he not got Covid? Obviously he was terrible in December and January. And JB did him a disservice by playing him so much after he got sick.

I’m on your side with a lot of opinions, but you need to separate Boeheim the player from Boeheim the coach. It’s not Buddy’s fault JB plays 6 guys.

He didn’t make any of the three ACC teams because his coach only nominated Guerrier and why do you think he did that?

If you actually believe Jim Boeheim is why Buddy didn’t make an ACC conference team go ahead.

Duke had 4 players on the teams years ago.
You can nominate more than 3 players.
Our 3 nominees should have been Buddy, Alan and Quincy.
If you think only Quincy was nominated I have a bridge for sale.

Fair enough I can admit you are right here.

I saw the ppp numbers but nothing about Buddy's shooting pct with vs without.

I can’t find the post, but I broke it down. It was a decent difference. It was suggested the sample size was too small...but the numbers were what they were. We’ll see if there is a difference this year. Obviously the new players thrown new wrinkles as well

Are you referring to with Kadary vs without? Honest, if not, I for one have no idea what else you could be referring to.

JB only nominated one player. He wanted that one player to make one of the three teams. Buddy would have taken votes away.

This is buddy's last year. I wish he would come back but he doesn't want to.

He should have his sights set on leaving.

But remember the world has changed for these kids in the last 4-5 months an extra year of college in the NIL world beats being 80 on NBA draft charts and scraping for a G League spot. So we'll see. 5th year Buddy is chasing NCAA records not just SU ones.

without knowing it, you hit the head on why he wants to leave.
