Great breakdown!Just watched the DVR of Eagles game.
Thoughts:
Ed Hochuli's crew threw 24 flags... disagreed w 80% of them. Just an awful crew. You are not the show Ed. The players are.
Tyrod was pretty bad. Oline didn't help much and neither did the vanilla play calling but he missed some easy throws and made some poor decisions. He did do some good things tho.
I like Peterman. We may have something with him. Awesome footwork and pocket presence for a rookie. Made some impressive throws on the edge and kept finding his tight end (O'Leary) - one on an impressive seam throw dropping it perfectly between 2 defenders. Also like his running ability and his toughness. I don't think he has slid once this preseason and he's had 5-10 runs.
Other thoughts... Alexander looks quick still. Encouraged by that at his age. He should have a good year.
D is looking stout against the run. That was our biggest weakness last year imo... Hughes could have a big year. The entire dline is just a much better fit for the 4-3 scheme.
Shady and Williams look good. Should not be too much of a drop in play between Williams this year and what Gillislee gave us last year.
Zay got some targets and looked good on the edge and over the middle. Made a couple great catches. I'm impressed.
Ticked Streater got hurt. I like his size. Hope he's not out long. I think he could be a solid #4 WR for us. Really the depth at WR is much better than last year. Philly Brown and that rookie Shorts look like good 5 and 6's to me. Andre Holmes doesn't do it for me and I hope he's cut for compensatory pick reasons.
A lot of freaking out on 2 Bills Dr. I think it's overreaction. This is still a fringe playoff team to me. Hopefully we can stay healthy for once.
Worst case scenario... if Tyrod goes to shiz and we're struggling by mid year I'd like to see what Peterman can do.
Let's just get the #1 pick the old fashioned way and surround him with a bunch of outrageous draft picks.
Or fight for human rights full time?.. according to his post. Can't blame him, he wants to play for a title.
What changed? Any idea?Based on some things said by folks within the organization when Boldin first arrived, it seemed they were planning on keeping him in the organization after he stopped playing. That may be off the table.
Well it's tough to stay in the Bills family if you've never been in the Bills family. I don't have a problem with a role since he supposedly has leadership qualities but probably not in the cards. What changed? Any idea?
I just love reading this thread.
So Bills.
The season hasn't even started yet and the thread has fulfilled pretty much every single expectation I could have had.You can't write this stuff, lol.
In reality this may be a blessing in disguise. Bills are not winning the Super Bowl this year. Give snaps to guys that can contribute beyond this season.
Also he looked like he was in cement on Thurs.
Oh, you just wait until Preseason Game 3 if Tyrod has another performance like the last. You will need to bring a fire extinguisher into the thread for all our H0T Takes. The season hasn't even started yet and the thread has fulfilled pretty much every single expectation I could have had.
Is anyone in buffalo not available by trade??RUMOR going around today is Tampa Bay is trying to pull off a trade to get Lesean McCoy from Buffalo
Is anyone in buffalo not available by trade??
Have they puts the rights to calling Jim Kelly and Bruce Smith as alumni up on the block as well???
We've already given Norwood a Ring...

Unless there giving up a 1st round pick (there not) that's not going to happen.

We have to trade away a lot more than McCoy to tank worse than the Jets and Browns. Since neither of those teams are likely trading with us no matter what ammo we offer, I think we should just play out the season and see what happens.I just don't see this happening, but then again, I didn't think Boston would actually trade the pieces required for Kyrie, so who knows haha.
But my thoughts on both sides of this rumor as a fan of both Tampa and Buffalo:
Tampa:
I wouldn't give up much at all for McCoy. I suspect other teams would offer far more than us. Tampa is already going to likely have to cut a RB that they like this preseason and I don't think McCoy is a major upgrade over Doug Martin. If Tampa were interested in someone from the Bills, I would think it would be Incognito. If I were Tampa and I were required to make an offer for McCoy, I'd be offering Doug and a mid-late draft pick (like a 5th round pick).
Buffalo:
I just don't think that Buffalo is tanking; at least not yet. If a team offers them a 1st or 2nd round pick for McCoy, I think they'd jump on it. If a team, like Denver for example, offers a 2nd or 3rd and Chad Kelly or something like that, I think they'd consider it. I guess we'll see what happens, but I don't think Buffalo is TRYING to trade McCoy. I think they'd be wise to listen to offers, but I don't think they're aggressively trying to move him.
If I had to guess, the following teams would be interested in McCoy:
Denver
Philly
Chargers
Giants?
Washington?
Green Bay?
