Buffalo Bills 2018

Robert Woods is showing to be a pretty good WR now that he has a QB to get him the ball. I'd take him over any guy on our roster right now.

You could probably say this about literally every starting WR in the NFL. I don't think any of Buffalo's WRs would start on any other team, Dallas included.

Peterman had them fooled. They don’t trade away McCarron if they don’t believe in Peterman. Peterman looked fantastic in preseason. Not just solid or good. He looked great! That is what is so crazy about him. He just melts under the pressure I guess.

It sure has blown up in their face and I think they’ll learn from it... but cripes... lets not run these guys out of town yet for getting a 5th round pick for a backup QB. They haven’t fully implemented their plan yet. It’s clear what their plan is. Build a culture of hard work, Clear off bad contracts/dead weight while gaining picks to draft QB, Address the D through draft and FA, then Adress the O through draft and FA. Not sure why ppl don’t have the patience to wait and see it through when these guys already took us to the playoffs in the first year and the Defense is playing lights out. They earned some leeway in my opinion.

But everyone acts like that bratty kid at the store who’s mom is not gonna buy em the toy they want.
We are in Year 2 of a 3-4 year plan. There have been misses but I like the overall plan. Ultimately it is in the hands of Josh Allen.

Not sure if it's been mentioned here and I just glanced over it or what, but David Chao is saying that if Allen requires surgery, which is a distinct possibility, he may be out for all of NEXT season.

If that's actually the case, I think Buffalo needs to just move on and draft another QB already, seriously. I like Allen both as a prospect and a leader, but you can't have a QB this raw that isn't able to play until his 3rd year in the league and hope that he develops after all of that.

I don’t want them gone. I like McBeane a lot. This Peterman/QB2 situation is just really bad.

I agree he looked good in preseason. He even looks good in games at times. It’s just bizarre how he throws so many interceptions. I’ve never seen anything like it.

That’s crazy. Allen is listed as week to week. David Chao also casually mentioned Tommy Johns surgery in the same breath as it could just be a contusion. He seems like he’s being a bit over the top.

That's what I read. I was scared initially when UCL was mentioned but then I read it was similar to Mariota's couple week deal in Tennessee.

I know you don’t.

I’m just talking about people who are in constant DOOMED mode.

Yea, i have heard he could’ve hurt it weeks ago and re-aggravated it on Sunday.

I think they just have to start Anderson and have Josh shadow him for the next month. If DA plays well, continue doing that. If not, put Josh back in when 100%.

Doesn’t seem major based on the MRI news, so let’s hope.

Allen Under 13.5 Starts is the easiest $ I've ever made. Little did I know I'd probably need to win that one in order to win the Zay Jones Over 350yds/2TDs prop.

Zay should get there... his route on the TD in Houston was NICE!

He thought a contusion on a Sunday but after seeing the sideline test he said you could tell it’s definitely more than that. Still possible that surgery isn’t required but if it is, that’s the timeline he’d expect.

Sprained UCL is the belief. Week to week status.

Will see Dr James Andrews for a second opinion to hopefully confirm the diagnosis of sprained UCL.

If we can get out of this scenario with just a sprain I’ll be relieved.
Vic Carucci tweeted its an elbow sprain (is that the same thing?) and that Allen is week to week with a decision to be made on him playing Sunday as the week goes on.

Interesting... could be a pain tolerance thing at this point. The tests on the sideline and the fact that he didn’t get put back in the game was probably the medical staff being extra cautious.

Would be great if he could play Sunday.

I thought I read it was week to week but he's 100% out this week

There's been like 10 different reports at this point lol. ESPN said week-to-week but expected to miss a few weeks. Dr. Chao saying over/under of 6 weeks with possibly 2 years if they opt for surgery. And now there's reports that it's week-to-week and he hasn't been ruled out for this week.

Jet fan here. Gotta say I have been an Allen skeptic, but the kid deserves his chance to show what he has without an injury impediment.

As far as I am concerned, anybody but New England, I will root for any team to help topple them including division rivals.

Good luck on Allen, and hopefully you guys can stay afloat in the meantime.

I have zero doubt that Derek unemployed 2wks ago Anderson will bring a significant upgrade to the passing offense. That is kind of sad.

For sure, I don't think there was any confusion that Allen was a big raw QB who needed time to hone his craft and grow into an NFL QB. Clearly, he has talent and clearly he has some serious deficiencies that need to be worked on. I am just pissed that he got hurt as I was hoping to see him continue to get snaps and progressing but this midseason break might be a good thing for his development, sitting behind Anderson for 4 games or so. Gotta just keep going.

The only real disaster has been Peterman who looks great in practice but just isn't an NFL player and that is clear to see for everyone at this point

sad to think the bills would be in this thing with just avg QB play. 3-3 would make next mon night game mean something.

i would cut petermen now if there is a Vet QB out there someplace to be the #2 until allen comes back. 8 wins might win the east if NE has any burps.
