Buffalo Bills 2022 Thread

Cut Daryl Williams
Extended Mitch Morse
I'm good with Morse. Just can't have any more concussions as he's now too rich to want to keep playing through another 1 I imagine.

Think with these moves that we either take an IOL early like Zion Johnson/Kenyon Green or maybe Kromer's connection to Safford in LA helps us there and we bring him in for a year to pair with a developmental draft guy. Either way there needs to be a premium resource spent on a guard in the next 6 weeks.

Bates definitely has to be brought back now, don't mind the extension for Morse as he has been very good when healthy.

Could see Williams go to NYG on a short term deal
Think he was more of a Beane guy coming from Carolina but their OL is horrible so could probably help on the interior.

Yeah the 3 cap hits of $9/$10.75/$11 are fine and take him through his age 32 season. Just can't have him be an early retirement guy because those numbers would hurt a lot in that case.

I would expect Bates to be re-signed soon, at the very least tendered as an RFA. Beane's working on the OL today

Trubisky to Steelers. Not sure if we get a 7th round comp pick.

Unless they can figure out something with Metcalf, I'm good with taking a WR in 2nd round.
Absolutely 0 interest in Metcalf. Would cost both a draft pick(s) as well as a very large extension. Lockett would fit a lot better and cost less in both aspects if we wanted to deal for one of their wideouts.

Didn't think about that. He's going to get one of the highest AAVs of any FA so depending on the FA in/out ratio, it could actually be closer to a 4th rd comp I'd guess.

Believe it is determined by prior salary and that puts it as a 7th rounder.

At this point it seems unlikely Buffalo would be able to trade for or sign any above average WR when you look at where they are at with the Cap. Would like to see them add one of those big D players that was bantered around the last week +.

Probably also a year where Buffalo should really think about trading back and grab maybe another 2 or 3 or something like that. You figure CB, IL, WR and RB, TE are probably the positions the bills will target in the draft.

That Kirk contract is nuts. Good WR but he's a 10-12 mill per guy max IMO.

I'm giddy at last year's 3/15 deal for Bourne now.

Don't think so. It's what they sign for. Golladay deal gave Lions top comp pick this year and he was coming off making nothing. Next 5 projected are Hendrickson, Dupree, Judon, Linsley. All the dudes that got paid big bucks.

Imagine when the details come out its gonna be a 2/35 with maybe a small amount of guarantee into year 3. All the numbers you see today are fluff. Even still 2/35 I'd a ton for an undersized slot guy.
