Buffalo Bills - Draft / Free Agency

I'm happy with it. Desperate need on the interior. Guy was real good in 2017, got big money from the Jets last year and then tried to play through an injury and was a disaster. Beggars can't be choosers. Still need to find at least 2 more interior guys and a capable starter at RT. I'd take Miller back at guard. I think he's functional if he's the worst starter on the line. Hopefully can fill one of those spots in the 1st 3 rounds of the draft.

Agreed at least he is an NFL Lineman and a viable option

Doesn't really seem like a long term answer at C unless his struggles were all related to the hand injury, which they could have been. But like at least adding depth and options to the OL.

Sounds to me like they may like him at guard

Worst contract Whaley gave out... and that’s saying something.

Was debating this or Dareus with a buddy. Dareus did at least bring a pick back but also a zillion dollars in dead cap.

I think all of his dead cap money is finally gone now. It was the right move to get him out of here.

Without question. Debate was which contract was the worstvthat Whaley gave out. Clay and Dareus were definitely the worst 2.

Oh ya both in hindsight were huge mistakes.

Had the same debate w myself...

What swung me to pick Clay was that Dareus actually had a superstar year before the money truck was backed up.

Clay was paid on potential and supposed scheme fit.

The Bills met with Stanford RB Bryce Love at the combine among other prospects. I'd love to grab him in the 4th round and give him a year to recover from the ACL injury.

Don't be too rough on me with this suggestion but someone we may want to look at for WR?

Ravens release Michael Crabtree one year after signing veteran to three-year deal

He wouldn't be the worst guy to take a look at; he really seemed to fall off last season though. He wouldn't be my top choice unless he comes relatively cheap, but I wouldn't be pissed if we brought him in either and I personally want a major overhaul of the WR room sooooo yeah.

Not a fan personally. Too small to be an every-down runner and unless he shows something at the combine, there's really no reason to think he can be a weapon as a receiving back considering he almost never did it in college. Seems to me that unless he develops a ton, your best case scenario is that he turns into a chance of pace back which you can find on the trash heap pretty easily.

I'd much rather go with a stronger runner ala Darrell Henderson, Karan Higdon, Josh Jacobs, etc. or a receiving specialist ala James Williams or Trayveon Williams.

This is the WR everyone seems to be keen on
Been reading up on him and watching videos today...

Not a lot of wiggle, seems to be more of a straight line guy - slow in the 3 cone and short shuttle drills. And low production.

Not sure I’m liking him at 9

If he can run decent routes could be the deciding factor. Hell with his size and speed, if the guy could just high point a deep ball or two each game, I'm happy. Running deep routes could draw a safety away fro the other receivers.

He definitely has a lot to learn but it sounds like he has a very high work ethic and he’s clearly an incredible athlete. Just happened to play for a team that had 4 very good receivers in a system that doesn’t really include route running.

He’s a Josh Allen/Edmunds type pick: athletic freak with a high work ethic but very raw still

Edit: I don’t think he NEEDS to be the pick if he’s available, but much like Allen, he’s the type of guy I’m happy to gamble on.
