Coach Search Options after Autry

Yup it is going to be stupid time. GMac needs to figure out an actual offense before he is ready for P4. He should use this success to level up to a stronger 2nd tier conference.
Ugh. We can’t have nice things, can we? It’s a good win and tourney run for Siena, and I’m happy for GMac, but he has more to prove, and his offense has the same vision and identity problems as Red’s. Have people lost their minds? He’s been a head coach at a lower level mid-major for 2 years.

And wasn’t Gmac on the bench for the entire 10-year long JB swoon? If we have to blame Red for his part in that, Gmac also has to share blame. Am I missing something? His team lost 11 games this year while competing in the MAAC and they finished 190 in KenPom (Merrimack was only a few spots higher, so was similar in terms of efficiency). Btw, Hofstra and Speedy Claxton were at #87, only a few spots below SU. If Gmac wasn’t an SU legend, he wouldn’t even be in the conversation.

Can we PLEASE hire outside of the family and start from a fresh page. Someone with a proven track record that is better built to manage this era of college basketball . Nate oats would’ve been a perfect transition coach. Who’s out there that resembles such a move?
How about Nate Oats’ right hand man at Buffalo and Alabama—Bryan Hodgson? Who’s now won as a head coach at two different programs within a few years. You know, the guy we’ve all been talking about.

I am glad because Seth Davis has no clue what he is talking about lol
