Coaching is terrible.

Not going to cry over this as the story has been written in every loss, but we make no adjustments and are soft as ever. I get we are undersized, but today we basically quit. That about sums it up.

I have tried so hard to stay on the positive end of all this. I just don't see it anymore. There are so many flaws but the lack of effort, movement on offense and adjustments on D is a coaching issue. I am not sure it's JB alone. We miss Hop. It's clear our asst coaches could be partly the issue too. Any way you look at it we are a mess as a program right now vs what we should be. Yes it could be worse and yes we have an unquestionable HOF running the show who if not for untimely injuries and NCAA crap would have 2 or 3 titles.

It’s bad (shot selection) but the talent is worse. We are rolling out 3 star players all over the court. Nobody can create or guard. There has been collective delusion on this board about our recruiting.

i am to the point where im just happy to see Syracuse play. I realize we are not a top team anymore. Im sad about it but its all out of my control. Not gonna let this ruin days anymore

Jimmy doesn’t even know. But don’t worry...we are done with the 12 games a year against Siena, Hofstra, Detroit, St. Bonas, Hobart, Seattle, etc. where it can pad his record big time in 45 years.

Playing a center and starting Kadary and playing him 30 would help. Playing Braswell more and Griffin less would help too.

Of course those things might hurt the offense, but we aren’t exactly clinging to much there in the first place.
Maybe also mix in a little triangle and 2 or man to man as well.
Just to throw the opponent off.
Not saying to drop the zone but mix in a little change.

Well JB is going the way of Bobby Bowden . Its a real shame. Coached a few years too long

Sad thing is I remember once reading that Boeheim said he would have retired in 2013 after the final four run but didn’t want to leave during NCAA investigation. He could have also retired in 2016 after making the miracle run. Sad it may go the way many of us think it’s going to.

How about a backcourt of Kadary and Griffin, with Braswell and Q as the forwards?

As long as it’s like a Ennis/Cooney situation where the PG does 99.9% of the ball handling.

Not this “whoever gets the ball is the PG” stuff we’ve been doing. Alan can’t dribble and Kadary off the ball is pointless.
