So Duce is now the #1 player in the state of NJ? Is that what he is talking about here?

When is the last time SU secured the top player from any state?

#4 per rivals in NJ overall is his highest ranking. Not sure what he’s referring to for #1 other than maybe #1 DB in the state.

Rooks is #3 overall in NJ per rivals. If we somehow close that one it will be a haul from NJ like we haven’t seen since the latter part of the Coach P regime.

I was thinking number one at his position.

Oh darn...Duce’s ability as a football player must have diminished these past couple of weeks because he is now a 3 star on rivals and 247, dropped from a 4 star. Gee, I wonder what could’ve happened these last couple of weeks to cause a drop in his rankings??

yup, must have been slow running around in his shorts this summer. Rivals dropped him to 26th best CB. Still a 4 star there.

Keep in mind that his team mate Alijah Clark got a 4 star bump and put into their top 250. No explanation for either. He is a Rutgers commit and Rutgers has lots of subscribers on that site that are more interested in winning fake recruiting wars than actual real games.

And that is why Rivals is the lowest of the low.
247 allows the Rivals rating to also influence its composite scoring and until they grow a pair and decide to rate players separately, they will share in the same embarrassment by association. How can you make a star rating system a significant part of your site, but let a competitor influence the scores with its own ratings? Are they managed by the NCAA?

I think the point of the composite is to get a more averaged and unbiased rating system. However, it does assume that all sites contributing to the composite are rating players in an unbiased fashion, and does not take into account the potential for corruption in the ratings.

In theory, the composite is a good thing it helps balance differing opinions to get a more sound average evaluation of a player. But if one rating (or multiple) is tainted by either a corrupt process or corrupt persons, then the composite ends up tainted as well.

Rivals was the site that got catfished by some backup player with no talent who ended up in the Rivals database, then because of that in the 247 database.

What a sad excuse for a recruiting site.
