I can't for the life of me figure out where this building is. If I'm taking a left onto Genant from Court is it on the right? Damn, I used to live on Danforth but drawing a big old blank on the area tonight.
Just saw on LinkedIn that the old Syracuse Lighting Company building on Genant Dr was acquired by The ICON Companies. It was Syracuse's first electric power plant and a predecessor to Niagara Mohawk/National Grid. Norm Swanson originally had plans to redevelop this as a mixed-use property with apartments and a beer garden, but those plans fell through with the uncertainty surrounding 81.

Prime redevelopment opportunity in the highly sought out Historic Franklin Square neighborhood. Over 76,000 sf of commercial space ready for redevelopment into a wide variety of uses. The property is one of the last remaining undeveloped properties in the Franklin Square district.www.jfrealestate.com
Joanie Mahoney got a bunch of shite from the naysayers when she pushed to build the Amp and I'm here to tell you it's the best achievement of her tenure as county exec. I just got home from seeing Loverboy, REO and Styx - I think it's the 5th show I've been to this year. What a great venue and thank goodness she knew nothing would ever change with the War Memorial and pushed to get Syracuse it's own amphitheater.
The Lakeview Amp and CMAC are the best out of the 4 but Lakeview tops it just for the traffic nightmare trying to get out of CMAC. SPAC doesn't really have any good lawn seats and Darien Lake is dated. I'm looking into getting a season ticket to Lakeview next year, I wonder what that will run me.I’ll admit that I was skeptical, and I really don’t know about the finances of the place, but purely from an entertainment standpoint, it’s been a massive success. 90% of the acts that come here you would likely have had to drive to Darien Lake or SPAC to see before. Aesthetically speaking, it’s one of the more beautiful amphitheaters that I’ve been to as well.

That's a shame, she put a lot of money into that place.
As of a few weeks ago when I was at Willow Rock's Octoberfest. My reuben was as delicious as ever.I was under the impression they're still operating?

Yeah it does seem like they are still open. Perhaps one of those deals trying to sell the business while continuing to operate?
this is insane![]()
