Didnt like any of the designs
He’s slowly buying the entire northwest corner of the Lakefront.I read that Weitsman wants to tear down another house in Skaneateles. Those older houses are part of the charm of Skaneateles. I'm not liking it.
New bar opening in Armory next door to Kasai. It used to be a clothing boutique, I believe.

Ghastly, unusually uninspired concept by in. (Though it's transparently off-the-shelf.)
Wish I could place bets on the City staffer who's pushing that "highest and best use" language on the development team.
Not sure Fiorito's got the capacity to pull off something of this scale, though the programming at least would represent a huge improvement for the site. And the existing garage is a disaster.
Wonder if this was the point of the article on Syracuse.com yesterday stating Syracuse has plenty of parking spaces downtown to announce we’re losing a large parking garage? Subtle - hmm.

Think there’s nowhere to park in downtown Syracuse? Think again.
Stop circling the block. Park smarterwww.syracuse.com
Yeah inArchitects usually has some creative stuff. I'm assuming this is just a boiler plate design to get some interest from developers that the space is available for redevelopment. JF is just the real estate broker, right?
We usually parked at the Atrium garage I think-to go to Kitty Hoynes, SS office and lawyer‘s office, all which were very close to it. Not the same one?I basically never park in a garage downtown and also almost never park more than 2-3 blocks from where I need to go. Theirs is definitely no lack of available parking downtown, even with the loss of this garage.
You’re brave. I wouldn’t be surprised if that place fell down one day.We usually parked at the Atrium garage I think-to go to Kitty Hoynes, SS office and lawyer‘s office, all which were very close to it. Not the same one?
Great location though. Use it about 4x a year. You’re brave. I wouldn’t be surprised if that place fell down one day.

It's about GD time, but it's only temporary

NY to reduce lanes on Onondaga Lake Parkway in new attempt to keep trucks from hitting low bridge
New signs and traffic lights are also part of the plan to reduce bridge strikes.www.syracuse.com
"Salina, N.Y. — New York officials plan to temporarily reduce traffic on Onondaga Lake Parkway from two to one lane in each direction as part of new efforts to stop trucks from striking the low railroad bridge over the busy roadway that connects Syracuse with Liverpool.
The move is one of several changes from the state Department of Transportation that could affect thousands of commuters and drivers who use the parkway and a ramp off of Interstate 81 -- all in an effort to stop truck drivers from hitting the bridge every few weeks."
Way too many commuters heading south, East from Liverpool and into Liverpool from the city for Old Liverpool Rd alone to handle. They should close it completely to traffic and extend the park.

I get the concern from folks that live north of Liverpool. That said, the parkway shouldn't be a speedway to 81 when there is an alternate route. I would think the businesses on Old Liverpool Rd would like the increased traffic. I agree with shandeezy, we shouldn't plan infrastructure based on how quickly someone from Clay can get into the city or bypass it.Yeah but I’m sick of every infrastructure decision being made as to not inconvenience those living in the suburbs. A true “parkway” is not meant to be a 4-lane 55 mph racing strip. The parkway has destroyed the village of Liverpool, turning it into nothing more than a convenient pass-through for thousands of cars every day. I maintain that if people want the benefits of easy access to the city, then they should live closer. Otherwise, you should just have to deal with the inconveniences of sprawl.
