Did not believe the obvious

It's got a beautiful, newly upgraded greenhouse onsite and also a brand new nursery to help raise sod for the full lawn. No one is expecting the lawn to be like those beauties down in the Southeast, but the lawncare guy said he envisioned it being consistently nice, not occasionally immaculate. Unfortunately, he just keeps giving me patchy mud pits, except that one year when everything seemingly fell into place.

Maybe because all the grass seeds within a 4 hour radius are duds?

Nah - the best just germinate elsewhere. They don't want to waste the best years of their lives in a mud pit where the HOA thinks one nice growing season after 5 years of work is acceptable.

The best are so rare that they know even if they all germinated at home, it wouldn’t matter. Not enough of them to go around.
