Not sure they have enough gas in the tank to play a physical BC team next week.

I think so. I have a bad feeling next week will be ugly. Attendance wise will be worse than today. And I think the kids will be demoralized after this one and wouldn't shock me to see them mail it in like they did a couple years back with everything on the line

BC isnt that good. Game will be close like today was and whomever doesn't make mistakes (FG, Xpt) will probably win.

Why?

They played tough today. Per usual, they just didn't do enough offensively to win. And even so, still could have won.

We have significant injury issues and the guys just seem physically and emotionally drained to me.

Arm chair psychology aside, we had plenty of chances to win today. I have no idea how you discern that they are either physically or emotionally drained. I saw a team fighting until the last play. Not trying to be argumentative--we should have won today. I didn't see anything that indicated physical and emotional drain.

We had several more key players get injured. I saw AB visibly upset with hunt and several players arguing with each other at the end of the game.

I never said we didn't play hard or we didn't have a chance to win it. Quite trying to pick a fight guy.

Why would we be demoralized? Srs want a bowl game. Attendace is another story but 3:30 should help

I'm NOT trying to pick a fight. I'm questioning the armchair pscyhology. I saw anything BUT a spent team competing today. We lost the game for a variety of reasons, but being physically and emotionally spent, as you claim, weren't among them.

There is no doubt in my mind that we'll come out next week fighting for our lives--which is literally what that game represents, in terms of bowl eligibility. Bowl or bust.

Ok. I disagree.

So are you saying they can't get 'back up' by next week? These are young men. They will be good to go. Oh wait did I take the title too literal? ;)

depends on the injuries we need to get some of the players back who missed this game or left during the game. I think BC is made to order for our defense watching them today there passing attack looks worse than Pittsburgh and we do a good job vs the run. 8 man box time

only team to stay within sight of FSU all year.

It's a match up thing. Can SU match up with BC personal wise because whether or not BC is or is better than Pitt is a moot point.

I agree with rf here, it's football. I don't see anything out there that makes me think we can't compete and beat BC. We lost to a peer program and have another game versus one next weekend

BC beat Maryland by 3. If there's one thing we learned our program with it's limitations can compete with and win against every other ham and egg BCS program.

If there's another thing we learned never open the season against two B1G (or any other OOC BCS) schools.

BFD...it was FSU's only hiccup and it happened early on when Winston wasn't quite what he is now.

If they played today FSU would pound them into submission with a 40/plus point beating.

Three times this team has bounced back with a solid effort after epic beat-downs (2 of them Ws prior to yesterday's game). That shows me a mental toughness that mirrors their HC. We're banged up, but so is everybody at this point in the season. Don't underestimate the will to win. The team attitude has to be to execute well enough that the game won't come down to a missed extra point or long FG attempt.

I have to wonder if Spruill will be able to go vs BC...that young man is running on fumes.

What about Hickey? We need his ability to pull/pass block to win this one.
