I disagree. Give it a year and see what happens. There were a number of guys from the AAF who got NFL deals because of their performance. The longer he's away from the game, his window gets smaller. This way, he can show if his skill set has improved.

Pretty off base post the semester and our regular season with his announcing commitments should be over before the XFL training camps start in December and January as the article says.

Only conflict would be a potential bowl game but there might be a holiday break in those training camps when that falls.

He can do both. Unless he doesn’t finish his degree in the falls and needs the Spring semester as well.

The first XFL didn't either and Tommy Maddox earned himself an NFL Contract with the Steelers and eventually took them to the playoffs and was their QB until Ben was drafted.
