Dungey has a head injury.

And that's not what he said.
I know what I said. I'm not sure you understand, as you have been content tossing one liners and not bothering to explain yourself.

My position is that Shafer is a blight on the program and his presence is harming present and future of Syracuse football. My belief is that to be pro-Shafer, at this point, is to be against the health of the Syracuse football program.

You may disagree. Fine. But simply saying "it's a crock" and then claiming to be misunderstood in follow up doesn't advance discussion.

If you believe Shafer staying head coach is good for the health of the Syracuse program, go ahead and make the case.

It's everything - Mahoney was not prepared, Lester and Shafer said two different things (at least Lester said something realistic) - we were losing by 31 points, Dungey should never been out there.

I remember the posts when SS first started and people had the nerve to say he didn't have his act together to be HC - and look at this. it's frigging shameful.

At this point, anyone who doesn't want Shafer fired is simply pro-Shafer and not pro-Syracuse.

Pretty foolish thing to say.

Hope you're right!

Yea it wasn't helmet to helmet. Looked like Dungey got it in the shoulder pads. But he got hit hard enough that it did snap his head back which still can cause a concussion.

I believe anyone that doesn't think Shafer shouldn't be let go at this time should not be labeled as if they aren't pro-SU. You've seen a few examples of those people in this thread already. It's not just be saying its a crock.

Why?

I had two concussions playing hockey and i was never in pain like he showed. I think the collarbone is probably what it really is. Hopefully shafer just thinks the collarbone is part of the head.

Just got home. Pissed!!!! It was a week ago I made a post which only had one thing to say - It drives me nuts in college or pro when meathead coaches leave key starters in the game after the outcome is long decided. Makes me nuts. Now look at this. Meatheads gonna meathead. Poor kid has to suffer from meathead. Be gone.

Well, should be just effin awesome watching Clemson play us next week. Not.

I just watched the post game press conference. I wasn't convinced that he knew with certainty what the exact injury was. It also sounded like he just agreed with the head injury assumption so that he could move on to the next question.

I'm so confused, we rarely discuss the specificity of injuries and here we have Shafer saying its a head injury moments after the game ends?

The guy is clearly rattled.
Yeah I don't get it. The only thing I'm drawing from that is dungy is done for the season.

Where did you find it

I don't think Coyle needs any more signs.

He's seen enough empty seats already.

Louisville was 4-4 and nearly filled the place today.
Ha! As if poor attendance is new on SS's watch. We didn't sell out when #5 was running the show...

On Syracuse.com. I have mobile app on my phone and they posted the 3 min clip. Let me know your opinion. Didn't sound convincing.

Never ever use the word "not" like that again. It's not 1991 anymore. Notice how I used "not" appropriately there?

How do you feel about "sike"(psych)? I always preferred that to "not".

For example: Shafer is an awesome gameday coach...sike!

Still acceptable, or worthy of being brought back?

I saw the clip. You are reading way too much into it. He confirmed it was a head injury. His body language was a bit non-commital because he was upset to be talking about the injury he knows damn well he could've prevented.

I hope it's not too serious, a broken collar bone or dislocated shoulder, while better than a concussion would be horrible for the poor kid.

Just watched it. Not the typical shafer presser at all. Looks rattled. Also the presser was before he saw dungy.

Thanksgiving Weekend.

No students.

Attendance was going to suck anyways.

While I agree that the dome will be poorly attended, this made me laugh. Missing the 500 students who attend games isnt the issue.
