ESPN Cut List..

Jenners lack of nuts and/or berries aside, I think it would be a bigger mistake for a sports network to avoid the sports stories that intersect with politics just because it's politics. News is news.

Side note, highly biased: I think people who spend 90% of their news intake breathing in the toxic fumes of Fox News likely see everything as "too left."

Fire Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman that would be a huge start. SAS is one of the worst people too listen too.

FT gets ratings. And the only reason they've dropped is because they go against a show in FS1 starring...Skip Bayless.

there is so many of them, I don't even know who they are.

like dana oneil.

whos the broad who berated a parking lot attendant??

hope she loses her job.
It's funny in that the network went overboard pushing personalities and having the talent become the show, and now that people are being let go I couldn't tell you Dana O'Neil from any other face on their screen.

That's because Dana O'Neil is a writer. She covered ACC Basketball.

Not every ESPN personality appeared on screen.

ESPN basically has said hockey screw you and your worthless.
ESPN doesn't care about reporting it cares about personality.

Looks like moving forward, ESPN is just going to be Dick Vitale, Screamin' A. Smith and bunch of movie stars promoting their latest flick.

Skip sucks the big one too.

Apparently Twitter is full of scorching takes trying to make his a trump / liberalism thing.

It's not why they are cutting jobs.

However ESPN has gone left just listen to the Richard Deitsch sports media podcast.

ESPN sort of lost me when they dumped hockey for more poker coverage
How did they do that? They cover the world series of poker which is in the summer and they show it in the fall. They don't show any other poker. I wish they did.

Yeah, ESPN sucks now. I turned on the 6 o'clock Sportscenter and it was two people giving their opinion on stupid stuff. I couldn't believe it. This is what they think people want? Is this what people want? Not this people. I want scores and information. Not opinions from people that know less than me about sports. Unbelievable. It is unwatchable.

To be frank, yes, opinions is what most viewers want. They already have the scores on their phone. What is happening to ESPN is mainly because of the drastic changes to reporting that have been brought on by social media as well as the fact that ESPN locked themselves into extremely expensive deals that are causing them to bleed money.

I've liked PTI -- which is qualitatively different than all of those other opinion shows, even though Tony K and Mike W give their opinions and faux argue. Very entertaining and interesting.

But has anyone watched ESPN day time programming the past few years? It absolutely sucks. Complete waste of time, and has been for a LONG time.

This is just ESPN trying to reinvent the sports concept. It'll flop.

These firings are just brutal. ESPN is becoming NBA TV and NFL network lite.
With SEC/ACC college sports.
ESPN losing the tier 1 Big Ten games will hurt them.

Then you should start up the Poker Network.

It's an activity, NOT a sport.

Poker is among their most profitable coverage.

It's cheap to produce and any ratings they get allows them to charge advertisers to make even more money. It can replayed a lot as well.

None of that makes it a sport.

I understand why the various networks broadcast the crap that they do.

espn puts on what they think people will want to watch. I like Hockey. I like poker. I like watching both. I think a poker network would do very well, by the way.
